So, let me hear it, from first glance and everything, would you side with any of these companions in real life?

Boone- No, just... from his dark attitude, I would constantly feel like he would stab me in the back.

Lilly- No. Do I even need to say anymore? She is a nightkin that thinks I am her grandson. No thanks.

Veronica- Yes! The welcoming personality and the safety guaranteed by her punching is great! Her looks aren't half bad either. :hubbahubba:

Cass- Ah, I would actually... I kind of wouldn't mind to hang out with her in the wastes. We could *celebrate* every night in an abandoned shack with tons of whiskey.

ED-E- It's a robot, I fear them for lots of things. No.

Rex- Dogs are loyal, so an obvious yes. Rex would probably be my favorite companion out of all of them.

EDIT: Sorry, I knew I was forgetting someone.

Arcade- Yes! A doctor that works for a friendly group of people would be great to buddy up with.

Raul- He is a ghoul, kinda... scary to be honest. He may lower my reputation around others..

You didn't mention Arcade or Raul.

Seeing a ghoul in real life would be very difficult, let alone traveling with one, but if I was someone who lived in the Wasteland I'd totally wanna hang out with the Mexican ghoul who can fix things and listen to his sarcastic comments.

I wouldn't give a second thought to traveling with Arcade, he does have some medical knowledge after all, which is extremely useful, and except for the NCR everyone loves the Followers.

Boone, Cheer up emo kid. I'm not gonna let you follow me around while your acting like a lost puppy because of your wife you won't tell me about.

Lilly, people probably wouldn't talk to me if I had mutant grandma with me.

Veronica, while I wish she would loose the hood, would be an awesome companion. All the punching though, I prefer explosions. It sort of conflicts.

I wouldn't in real life pay for Cass' drinking during our travels, even if she is hot.

I wouldn't be able to spend 10 seconds around ED-E unless there was an off switch for his music.

Rex is just the most adorable puppy ever, how could I stay away from him.

There are more companions than those you've mentioned.

Anyways, I'll go for ED-E doesn't talk too much.. ideal when I go shopping to have a flying radio besides me or when I suddenly get overcumbered by groceries.

Well, Veronica would end up in the crawl space of my house if she was as annoying in real life as she is in the game. Raul looks like he smells. Obviously Lilly, her outbursts invoke a Kierkegaard-ian absurdity that borders sagacity.

Arcade - It would take me a bit to warm up to Arcade but then the same could probably be said for him too. I like his wry sense of humor and his passion for helping people but he can be a bit stand-offish and gloomy.

Boone - He's the only companion I haven't tried yet in-game although from doing his quest in Novac I suspect I wouldn't actually want to travel with him.

Cass - I had a ton of fun with her as a companion but we may be too different to travel with in real life. She's very rough-and-tumble, I'm not, and I don't drink which can be pretty awkward. I'd certainly be willing to give it a try but I don't think it would work out.

Lily - Lily is another companion I love in game but probably wouldn't work in real life, I'd just be too concerned over her condition.

Raul - Most definitely yes, Raul rocks

Veronica - Certainly, her enthusiasm is a bit extreme at times but she's great fun.

ED-E - It isn't really a companion so much as tool, is it? I guess I wouldn't have a problem with it providing I felt I had a sufficient handle on it.

Rex - Nope, if I can see your brain you can't be my friend, I just wouldn't be able to get through my day.



If I had to choose one . . . . that would be tough. I'd love to hang out with Raul but I think I'd get along best with Arcade.

Arcade, Veronica, and especially Cass actually remind me of friends of mine. Only, you know, with more weaponry skills.

Raul kind of reminds me of certain family members. I'd let him hang out from a sense of obligation if nothing else.

I don't think Boone and I would get along too well in real life because I'm actually quite skittish about shooting people. The Fallout version of me, who is more comfortable with wonton murder as long as the victims are bad enough, really appreciated the "we're a couple of problem solvers" line, though.

I think Lily would make me nervous.

And I am a friend to all robots.

Lily- yes, I know she would protect me with her life.

Veronica- shed be real fun.

Cass- soldier boys beware, here we come.

Raul- sure, he's pretty cool.

Boone- maybe, he'd probably be too depressing for me.

Arcade- sure, have funny stuff to say and good in battle.

Rex- hell yeah, I love puppy dogs and he'll be my bestest buddy yes he will

Ed-e- maybe, it's something. Lol

I love Lily too but I'm not that concerned about her condition rather the condition of my surroundings when she gets a psychotic episode. :laugh:

Boon. Very dark and mysteries. As long he dose his job he be fine.
Veronica. She has a heart of gold and means well. She tries too hard to convince her family to change thier ways. She will be good in a pub brawl :thumbsup:
Cass. Can drink will her under table any time. Go out her every night or day. If the urge happen, go into a abandoned building drinks ourselves silly and F ourselves until were sore. Let have a robot to join in.
Ed-E. Scrap metal.
Rex. He or she will be a good companion if it a full dog. I afraid that brain might do a short and turn against me. Shoot it if it dose.

Besides that, Cass would probably be a lot of fun anyway.

Raul, I don't know... I'd probably screen his calls and then call him back a few hours later.

Arcade.. He's a nice enough guy, but, like Boone, he needs to brush up on that humor thing.

In real life, if i was living the mojave wasteland, i'd be fine with any of the companions coming along with me as long as they are loyal enough. Lily might make me a little nervous with her psychotic breakdowns, but thats the only thing negative i can think of.

Most of you said you wouldn't want to have Boone, but i'd like to have him around, i prefer not to talk all that much, so i'd be fine with him, and he'd probably take out most enemies before they got close enough to actually be a threat, which would be fine with me. I'd be anti-legion in real life so i feel we could trust each other. My favorite companion conversation was actually the short little chat before going into a legion camp with Boone "thats not a problem, thats a solution"

Otherwise i'd like to travel with Raul (only negative is i think ghouls are supposed to stink...), or Veronica. I'd be fine with either ED-E or Rex as a side companion, it'd be cool to have a floating robot and i like dogs.

Lily- No, she could go beserk at any moment no ty, I wouldn't mind visiting her though and have a nice chat, but only if their are plenty of strong super mutants to hold her down during one of her fits.

Boone- Just to much of a downer and he'd probably always get his way due to his nature and I would end up following him.

Veronica- I can see myself hanging with her even though sarcasm can get at me after awhile.

Rex- Definately, loyal and half cybernetic -who doesn't want that in a companion?

Cass- Maybe but in real life that whole Tough Girl routine will get old quick, well unless she backs it up every now in then with a punch to the face. "The-then were-ere c-cool, Stop punching me!!"

Arcade - I think I could get travel with him and he knows when to shutup only thing that may annoy me will be the " I'm smarter I'll figure it out, don't worry your little head" comments he may make.

Raul- Seems lke my best option were both kind of low esteemed in our abilities but with his experience and my not rotting body we could make a great team.

ED-E- I wouldn't be able to repair him so he would become a kickass lunch box or a sweet helmet so yeah I could learn to like him.

I can't help but notice that your choice of friends is influenced by how many girls you might get from them. I think you're doing it right.

Arcade - Possibly, he's respectful and helpful when it comes to healing you. And he never seems like he's going to betray me or anything which makes him worthy.

Boone - Not at all. A very good sniper and spotter but too much of a NCR really devoted fan and seems like he's going to kill me every day.

Rex - Loved Rex, he would fight until the end and wouldn't complain at all. He may come along all he wants.

Lily - Eh? Not really sure about this one, pretty crazy in the head and got in the way a little. Maybe for a little bit of time but not at all in the main thing.

Cass - Of course, I enjoyed the attitude mostly. I even gave her some of my whiskey when she first became my follower. Whiskey lovers forever. But she needs to be "tamed", if you catch my drift.

Veronica - I haven't been followers with her yet but will be soon. But so far I wouldn't mind having her. Just some adjustments and I wouldn't mind getting pretty friendly with her...but she is already nice... (How about Veronica and Cass at the same time?)

ED-E - God, this one wouldn't be quiet and was pretty useless. Maybe if I needed back up and some music to listen to but I'm not so sure that I would want him to roll with me every single day.

Raul - A cool guy, might let him tag along if he seems fit.

That leaves Cass and ED-E yet in-game Raul and Rex are my companions. Go figure.

boone all the way. i support the NCR fully, and we have generally the same attitudes. secondly whenever he does crack a joke he doesnt throw it in your face.

he has the skill and enthralling background of a real companion. i call him my brother in arms.

secondly, i dont know about either ED-E or rex, ED-E isnt that helpful in a fight, and id go insane if i l had to learn what the beeps mean. Rex i dont know about either because though he is helpful and incredibly fast, he tends to get K.O.'d very quickly, plus, im a little bit of a spray and pray if im not using a scope lol

I find that ED-E is great for spotting enemies at long distances in combination with me being a sniper and Boone, it's a deadly trio. The problem with followers is that they alway screw up my stealth or run off foolishly into battle blocking my shots. With Boone and ED-E by my side I never have this issue, we're picking off enemies at extremely long distances. For close combat environments I prefer to go alone or take Lily with me to smash the place up.

And I must admit Rex is useful too to spot hidden loot, but I still prefer ED-E + Boone.

Arcade - Definitely would hang out with him in real life. I like his intelligence, sense of humor and I'd never have to worry about him hitting on me.

Cass - While I don't like her as a companion, in RL we'd probably be drinking buddies

Lily - OMG yes - I love crazy grandmotherly types

Boone - If he was hot no doubt - I'm attracted to closed off unapproachable men

ED-E - If she got a better music selection and I could plug a controller into her and access Xbox Live .. a definite YES

Veronica - No way she's an annoying twit who won't stop babbling about a 'new dress'

Raul - old and boring. Not a chance. I've never used him in-game so maybe he has some redeeming qualities I'm not aware of

Rex - I can just picture hime running up and attacking a big group of well-armed MS-13 crack dealers if I were to stop in a gas station in the wrong part of town. No, I'd do the right thing and put that rabid mob-training mutt down before he got us both killed!
