Would you support a rebuilt winterhold

Post » Sun Jun 03, 2012 10:42 pm

I was just thinking that for me personally who loves being a mage the collage of winterhold is disappointing. So in the dlc or if it's even possiable for people to mod a whole city lol would you support a dlc to restore winterhold to it's former glory ?

Oh, it's possible to mod a whole city. Or a province. It's been done many, many times.

And, yes, I would like to see it: Winterhold as it is in the game is an absolute joke.

Depends if I could lead it and live in a huge castle then yes. If it's one of those quests were you just give them 5000+ gold and then no one even will remember you then let winterhold rot with it's five npcs!

As long as you don't conveniently undo the Great Collapse.... I mean as long as it still looks like Winterhold is mostly trashed, then I see nothing out of place with expanding it.

Actually i was more talking about undoing the great collapse. I mean don't erase it from the history books but there isn't enough room to expand it without undoing im not sure exactly how to do it but hey this is brainstorming :D

They could just build along the road, at the bottom of the cliffs, or on the offshore islands.

Would rather see Helgan be rebuilt in the next DLC. And let the player be the Jarl.

I'd most likely rebuild Winterhold far from where the actual town is currently. I'd rather not risk having the new city collapse into the sea like the last one. (We never know what will happen!)

Yes, let me kick that worthless Jarl out and rebuild it myself.

Good idea.

I would love to have the place built up further - not undoing what came before, but perhaps finding ways to expand for sure. Perhaps building upwards or as someone else mentioned, horizontally along the road.

I'd love that. Winterhold city had always sound intriguing in lore and I'm sad it was buried in Skyrim. It'd be nice to rebuild it in a dlc.

It would be interesting. I've yet to dedicate myself to a mage strictly because Winterhold lacks many things that a town should have, especially one that contains the only place to train magic in the entire province.

I've been hoping that Winterhold would see a return to prosperity, but not an undoing of the Collapse. I'd like to see folks rebuild on a believable scale and for it to be a gradual story of community effort. Someone starts a business. A few laborers take rooms at the inn, then rebuild some of the ruined homes. I'd also like to know the real reason for the collapse.

Not possible as Helgen has a Jarl. Siddgeir of Falkreath owns Helgen, it's part of Falkreath Hold

I doubt that Helgan needs a Jarl since it's part of Falkreath hold although I would love to be able to rebuild Helgen.

Then you're talking about becoming Jarl of all Falkreath.

Sure, why not? Just ignore all of Falkreath, walk to Helgen, and get wasted on Mead with Juniper berries mixed in.

100% with you here

I have also suggested in previous thread on the idea of a rebuilt Winterhold as a dlc idea. They could have a mansion / castle / tower as a new top of the range for the recently made hero of Skyrim. They could even add in a quest where the hero can become the new Jarl of Winterhold.

I was hoping for an expansion for Oblivion where Kvatch got rebuilt. Rebuilding places is a good idea.
