If you could choose one thing. What would you put in skyrim?

Including Co-op/multiplayer. Screw TES:O, I would pay the price of a full game for this patch.

We can only choose one thing? In that case....Spell making or more variety in magic, one or the other.
both...we need more spells and the ability to create our own

I'd like to see a few more things that added depth to the world itself. Such as more variety in the animal types various colors sizes with more sounds to fill the world as you travel, I would even go as far as to say they could eat and use the bathroom (but that's just me). also a bone structure to deepen the combat so you can break or cut off limbs like in dead island. and weight, things like mamoths should make th earth tremble when they die and hit the ground. I will include the prevous statements of adding climbing and the sheathing of the offhand weapon into this as well because climbing would add a new dynamic of actually feeling "the ground beneath your feet." and the sheathing because I would love to see your favorited or hot keyed weapons shown on your person at all times. swords drawn and bow on your back would be pretty cool

I know I wrote more than one but i think they all fit into the same suggestion. Depth to sum it up.

Well thought out plots, decent dialogue and real decision making. Skyrim would be truly awesome if only Bethesda had some writers on their team.

Secondary to that, mounted combat.

Increased Level cap and harder end game content. Ex. Daedric dungeons with epic loot and boss at the end.

I'll go with this^ but with a slight modification. I'd like new and tougher enemies to be introduced into the game depending on your level. It's not impossible to have seen 90%+ of every type of enemy that exists in Skyrim by level 20. I understand that part of the game is that you can go anywhere you want and do anything you want at any time. But keeping some things off limits until X level wouldn't infringe on that freedom.

A brothel with dem strippers like in Morrowind. With every race/six combination ever. And if the Dovahkin has the coin... awwww yeeeaaah.

Okay, in all seriousness: more soul to the NPCs. I know this is not a BioWare game with hawt romance options and fan service but most NPCs lack character. No personality, no motivation, no goal, no nothing. They don't even try to pretend to be more than a bag of polygons, only existing to provide as a punching bag and/or loot deposit service to the player. For example: I delivered a note to Brand-Shei, detailing his ancestry. Yeah, thanks for the money and all but what now? I want to see him do something about it. Maybe a few follow up quests for me to dig deeper and try to find other missing links from his life. A vow of venegance. Anything! Dress in drag and do the hula.

At least that would be funny.

One thing? Hmm. It's hard to choose between making horses more useful (including mounted combat, less suicidal horses, horses can carry items, and some easy way to locate them when they run out of sight), or being able to tell npc:s who you are unless they recognize you (Dragonborn, leader of various guilds etc) according to person and situation: in short, more impact of your actions.

Cloaks and more clothing in general.
I would have said this, as well, but could only choose one thing. Climbing in Daggerfall is so awesome, it had to be mentioned. But cloaks. WANT!

more race specific clothing / armor.

I tend to role play my characters in armor / clothing that suits them in accordance to race and lore. It would feel strange having a Argonian in something like ancient Nord armor. Some races like Orsimer and Redguards are spoiled whilst others such as Khajiit and Argonians get nothing

A co-op story that takes place several decades before the events of Skyrim, and you play as a random hero.

I'd like to see a faction/quest line to allow you to roleplay good stealth character instead of being a thief. A Hunter's Guild might work, or if there were an evil Jarl oppressing his people, you could incorporate the theiving into a Robin Hood-like quest where you only steal from the corrupt nobles.
