Do you excersise?

Post » Mon Sep 05, 2011 6:43 pm

I love keeping fit, I circulate around jogging (around 10 miles a week), martial arts, stretching, pushups, situps, weights using a light 15kg barbell and cycling. Having no car I cycle pretty much everywhere, I sometimes do some shadow boxing with a pair of heavy gloves I have.. great cardio.

what do you do?

I do enough physical work doing my job so don't need to do any other excercise.

Edit: I do walk around alot in the country side and in national parks which would count as excercise although I don't think of it as such because I enjoy doing it.

I mostly do cardio, I can't work out without getting bored, even with motivation or music... and I really love music. :sadvaultboy:

I would do, but just a few minutes of exercise makes me hideously depressed and stressed. Rather jealous of these people who claim to get "endorphin rushes" or whatever...

Everyday I bike to work. Which is around 7 miles round trip. Rode to a friends house yesterday and that was about 12 miles round trip. I don't really drive anywhere as much anymore, just bike around.

I stay fit by taking some vitamins that B complex stuff and that CoQ10 stuff. Along with that i'll take my dog on a walk atleast 2 to 3 times a week varying the routes for increased or decreased strain on my body. With my dog pulling on the leash he'll give me a good workout. Right now i'm tempted to grab me some ankle weights and start using those to work on my lower leg strength. My upper body strength needs the most work though however I can't seem to find good wrist weights.

Yes and no.

Yes, I get exercise, but no, I do not go out of my way to make sure I exercise.

I don't specifically exercise, but I ride my bike quite a lot during the week to get to classes and wherever. I also get the urge to ride around campus during the evening/night often because I love the night air. I'd say I get enough exercise.

You folks are great. I try to exercise but can't figure out how to do so without spilling my coffee.

It must be hard to work in that cramped Bethesda moderating cellar especially with BootySweat and MitchEvious joining you.

Mag10 dianabol (not even sure if this stuff is even legal anymore).

Simple routine, even calithstenics works.

Profit.

Im talking gaining 30 pounds in a month and having a BFP lower than 10%

That's why I always bring my iPod and a book when I'm doing cardio. Or my iPod with a half-hour long show loaded on it or whatever. Anything to keep me from staring at the timer, wondering why it isn't done yet. :P I'd just plug my headphones into the audio system they have at my gym and watch/listen to one of the TVs, but I usually go in the morning when all that's on are daytime "news" shows.

As for my routine, I go four days a week: three of those days I do some form of cardio for 30 minutes: cycling, elliptical, treadmill are my main options. I switch out every couple weeks so I don't get bored. The fourth day is all weight-lifting and strengthening exercises, along with a bunch of crunches and push-ups.

As a younger man, I would on average ride my bicycle 15 miles daily. Several time a week I would ride as much as 30 in a day, although that part was mostly out of necessity. These days however, the closest thing to exercise i get is walking to the refrigerator.

I really should get the bike out and start ride once again. Hopefully the hills won't kill me.

20 pullups three times a day.

However much benching and curling I feel like doing.

That's a lot of cholesterol.

But I'm not one to talk. My exercise routine is walking to McDonald's. :P

Hit the gym 3x a week. Start out with light cardio to warm up then hit the weights, mainly strength training.

Sometimes I get out of bed, and frankly, I don't appreciate that my lifestyle is so physically demanding.

I'm pretty much sedentary so I took a job that makes me work hard. I told myself, why pay to go to a gym while I can get paid and stay fit!??! My hobbies and interests in life have never been related to a job or career, so better get the most of it. Job = fitness and $$$, home = personal interests and projects... and procrastination. I lift TVs and desktop all day, walk a zillion times the store back and forth. I realised recently that I can lift my own weight... being a woman, that's something, I guess. I can't hold it for long, and not from floor to above my head (that'll break my back! :pinch: ) Almost everything is possible with the right technique! :lightbulb:

I was going to the gym 3x a week doing some jogging and weight lifting until I hurt my back. It's pretty good now so I started back up this week and instead of riding my car to the gym, I started riding my bike (about 4 miles away).

I mostly do crunches and press ups, but I also do a lot of walking with the dog in the woods and hills, as well as all the hours it took me to walk to the train station in the next village over to go to uni for three years.

Frankly, when I have miles and miles of parkland on my doorstep, I couldn't think of anything worse than going to a gym to run on a conveyor belt with a bunch of metrosixual meatheads.

That's a lot of cholesterol.

Theres many other things that act as a catalyst for cholesterol including saturated fat. Eggs, unlike many other protein sources has a high amount of cholesterol but lower amount of saturated fat.

All the cholesterol comes from the yolk though, so I eat egg whites as much as possible, but its just easier and cheaper to buy a dozen eggs.
