if you had a month to live

I would play Skyrim even if I knew I would die the next day.

i wouldn't spend one second of it on Skyrim. I would spend it doing more important things like actually living

I think this belongs in the Psychology of Skyrim section.

Of course I wouldn't. Playing any video game wouldn't even enter my mind. I'd empty my bank account and do all of the things I want to do and visit all of the places I want to visit.

I'd probably play it for an hour or two, just to know that I had - but generally I'd have other things on my mind!

Oddly enough, I did know someone who'd been given just a few months to live - this was my friend's dad when we were teenagers - and he just made a list of all the things he wanted to do with the rest of his life and did as many of them as he could, which is really the only way to react to that situation. So whether you'd play Skyrim or not really depends on whether it would be enough of a priority to make it onto the list. In my case, it's something I'd be playing on a laptop at the airport while flying off somewhere exotic, I think.

I would sell all my stuff to people close to me (takes a day or two), travel to Japan for a week. Then I would ask the girl of my dreams (aka girl who sits in front of me in biology class) out, explaining my situation and offering to have a coffee with her. With two-and-half weeks left I would just do stuff I always wanted to do. Eat everything I want, tell people what I think of them, maybe going on further dates with the aforementioned girl (I'm positive my condition would net me a lot of sympathy points). With the time I have left I could maybe consider trying out Skyrim, but I doubt that since I'm not a fan of the type of story. Maybe go on a shotgun rampage in a nearby drug lair, plenty of them around my neighborhood. Whatever I have left I give to the people of North Korea, just for the lulz. I don't think my few thousand € would reach the place but it's a fun publicity stunt.

I'd kill myself then. I made an oath to myself a long time ago that the only thing that will kill me is myself. Screw nature.

Well it's not like magic kills you. If you die of cancer, it's your body doing that. If someone blows your head off, it's your brain being destroyed that kills you. The only thing that truly kills you is yourself, the cause of the effects is irrelevant at that point. If you mean you want to consciously end your life, then by all means, have fun.

I haven't the slightest idea of what I'd do. I know when I'm old this time will come, when I realize I'm going to die soon, and there would likely be no fun way to spend my time by then - due to the deterioration of my body at that point.

No. I probably wouldn't spend any time playing video games or watching TV.

Probably not. I have enough money to do a LOT of stupid things in one month, and I'd just as soon blow it all on a grand world tour than I would sitting around playing a video game. Not to say there isn't a "last meal" sort of game I'd like to play.

It's not Skyrim though. I'm thinking Summon Night Swordcraft Story to tell the truth.

Maybe for an hour or two. But there's alot more better things I want to do before I die.

haha! no.... I don't know what I would do. I tried to think of what i would do, but my mind kind of blocked the thought. If they told me I had only a month to live, I would prove to them I have two months. :hehe:

Would I heck. I'd spend a little time with my family, then go up to my girlfriend's place and see out my time there.

Skyrim will likely be a decently entertaining game. Decently entertaining doesn't cut it compared to genuine companionship.

Impossible to answer because you can't put yourself in to the same state of mind as someone who is about to die...

Honestly unless this actually were to happen to me. *knocks on wood* I have no idea how I would react. I probably would just spend it with my family. In a more perfect scenario (hopefully one I wouldn't be dying in, but then I wouldn't be replying to this thread would I?) I would make a list and try to do as much of it as possible (playing some Skyrim included) in the time I had left. Unfortunately most of that would cost money I don't have.

Man this was depressing to think about. To cheer you guys up a bit Skyrim is only 8 days away :celebration:

I would spend my time writing music and feeling sorry for myself.. so there'd basically be no difference from what I do now :P

30 days to live huh----well I think I'd have a 30 day She-Ra marathon. I might be able to get through at least season 1 maybe a little of season two before bitting it.

On second thought, I'd be rather pissed at everything being svcky and not how I want it.
After getting a grip...
I would definitely use my m0n13zZ and go to a nice mountain place covered in snow and go snow boarding.
Maybe a bit of JAHO who knows maybe play the sympathy card
Buy a motorbike and ride it out in the fields (maybe a quad bike)
Go see the fat guy from the job centre and tell him hes a stupid [censored] and I actually made it into software development
Congratulate my old head of year for being the unstoppable force that she was <_<
Go paint balling
Punch everyone I have a large disliking to
I'd probably need to quit my job in this timespan too
Make sure my apprenticeship was successful
Do a day/week of Army training
Fire a live gun
See the stars in the clear sky while camping a top the Campsie Hills
Decide who gets what of my stuff
Takes my friends out for one last drink
Praise those who made a difference in my life

I guess I'd do this kinda stuff :snoring:

I've traveled the world and I don't like people all that much. So yeah, I probably would play it. Just a little bit. If it was a totally 100% confirmed 1 month to live, I wouldn't use that full month; I'd down a bunch of pills and take a forevernap.
