Yup. Though playing as a human, my choice is open for members of all human races, not just my own. Same for Mer.

I go for a mix of looks, personality and what their profession is. Race doesn't matter for my character.

Never married in Skyrim, but i wished this feature would have been more "deep".

However Jenassa is the only interesting character that i've found in that respect,despite the "gloss" of some other Npc.

And Cicero of course, to cure its solitude and carrots addiction but unfortunately he's not-marriable in the vanilla game.

However, he's always with me even on console,and we still "cohabit" after months despite his attitude to go down on its knees too frequently with others

I only go by looks in a game. In real life, I go by how much I like that person, no their looks.

It always seems like getting Married is the kiss of death for my PC. It results in me going back and starting a new character.

This last time, I just married Camilla and adventured around with Janessa or Brelyn and pretended my PC was having an affair on Camilla. Worked for me.
