I'm a level 80 warrior but I use sneak all the time i only have 3 perks in the sneak skill tree and it still works great for me. I have crazy enchanted blades armor tho with one enchantment being muffle

Definitely sneak when in a dark dungeon. I don't want to blindly walk into something. But when I go into a fort of bandits... I proudly stride in there and lay waste to all.. or get killed.. one or the other.

I use sneak a fair amount with my warriors, just to even the odds to drop off lesser enemies at range that otherwise aren't worth the time.

Just as simple to pick off a bandit at a few yards loot him and keep moving, or pick a few off, so you don't have to watch archers nearby while you fight at close range.
