Your probably correct.

The last thing a mechanic wants to do is put a pair of overalls on and start messing around with his lasses car when he gets home.

i wonder if they even play the game like we do, or if its just not the same cuz they know how it all works, like it breaks the illusion cuz you know how its done,

I bet they play the "game" so much during the creation of it that the final product doesn't have the same appeal. They've already been through just about every aspect of the game for YEARS.

Kinda like do actors watch the movies they're in, type of thing? Nah, I honestly don't think they do. They're probably so busy working that they have other hobbies to unwind; not playing their own video game. But I could be wrong?

One of the best Morrowind mods, Morrowind Advanced, was created by a Bethesda developer, Worm God. There is a Skyrim mod on Steam Workshop right now that adds real-time carriage travel, made by a Skyrim dev.

Off the top of my head, that's all I can think of.

At least there's one mod made by Skyrim's dev. It's called "Real Carriages" made by Kurt Kuhlmann.

the texture mods released for this game are so impressive, the best ive seen in any game ever, specialy open world, im talkin serious skyrim hd. im not saying ive played every game but ive played alot, not even the witchers textures are that good and it didnt really take the modders long, why dont we see these textures like these in exclusive pc games, ive seen ok textures in pc games but none that make me go WOW look at that, and make me spend half my time admiring the damn floor, im not saying games need textures to be good but if its that easy for modders then it must be easy for them, also bethesda released there own texture mods, but they definatly wernt as good as the current mods ones, can they not make textures as good as these modders or what? is it easy for moddrs to make these great textures cuz they make it seem it?

You mean Khulmann? Here's a link for it http://www.bethblog.com/2007/12/05/inside-the-vault-kurt-kuhlmann/. You can also see him in the Skyrims developers picture they released on their blog.

not sure i agree with the point of you get sick of it. I have a job where I do something i enjoy, but i have to do it to somebody elses specs. I build things at home too, but do them the way i want.
i hope game dev's got into it because they like the work, they do as the boss says during the day and then mod what they like at night.

Yea what Pseron Wyrd said. I was pretty amazed and impressed when i saw an actual Bethesda Dev of awe inspiring dazzling epicness like Gary Noonan aka Wormgod among other names on the Forums back in the summer of 2002 talking to everybody as if it was no big deal. Really made a big impression and showed everybody they're human just like the rest of us but with special super powers :foodndrink:

Oh yeah, Morrowind Advance is a classic mod. Great memories. I believe the name of WormGod was Peter Noone.

If the devs played the game, they'd know how annoying the constantly repeated NPC catchphrases are, and they would've got rid of them!

I hang around the marketplace so I can learn the merchant's trade. Do you make it to the cloud district often? Ever tried mercenary work? ETC.

I'm a mechanic. I work on my 4Runner and my family's vehicles all the time. I don't have to get paid in order to do something I love, and I'd imagine at least some Bethesda developers feel the same.

Gary Noonan.

I think that's actually an interesting mistake. I grew up to the sound of the British Invasion music of the sixties and I have caught myself thinking 'Peter Noone' when I meant to think 'Gary Noonan' myself on more than one occasion.
