I hope it won't come, i like flying and all. But a dragon mount? That is a bit too overpowered for me.

No, simply no. I absolutely love dragons, but riding one would not fit in anywhere in the world of Skyrim.

REL_Dovakin,
Spoiler
that was kind of out of necessity though, and it was part of the deal you offered to Odahviing. The dragons have serious superiority issues and I don't think he allowed the Dovakiin to ride him with a smile on his face.

Well, when you click on a tag saying "SPOILER" you kinda lose the ability to gripe. It's assumed you know what you're getting yourself into.

Sorry,i've forgot the emoticon in the hurry... even if perhaps i use them too much

However if you read some of my previous comments you will discover that i don't love particularly the Lotr; the only one that i've ejoyed was the first one -of course i've seen all the trilogy in the past.

What i mean is that all this "mounting animals" requests are useless in my opinion -even more cause Skyrim horses svck at the actual state and they're supposed to be the main form of travel of the game with carriages -another disappointment for me: no opportunity of "real time" travels. :ermm:

Technology wise, I don't see why not, but lore wise I seriously doubt most if any Dragons would willingly or happily allow someone to ride them. They are beings not beast and as Chojin613 mentioned earlier thay have superiority complexes so a Dragon being riden would be different than say a Suthay-raht riding a Senche. They could however be forced into being mounts with powerful illusion magic but the Command Spells are absent in Skyrim.

It is hard enough for mid range pcs not to crash during flight. e.g. on flying carpet mod. A console would just explode.

It was done in Bethesda's week of "do whatever you want and put it in Skyrim," along with a bunch of other things that would've been awesome, including spears, mounted combat, and spell combinations.

To everyone against this lore wise...

Your the dragonborn. If anybody could force a dragon to let them ride it would be your character.
Spoiler
^^^ Read above spoilers for proof of that.

I also like the Elder scrolls take on dragons as very intelligent immortal beings. But that just makes it more epic to be able to control one to that level. Being intelligent beings who says that
Spoiler
you and ohdahviing don't end up being friends in the long run?

From a technical standpoint however:

I can see this being done on the pc with mods (heck its already been done) but on the xbox/ps3 they would have to completely redo the way cities are done or you would see a big gaping hole below you where the city interior should be. This makes me believe bethesda will not do this on consoles bar

Mounted combat (horse) would've been more worth putting in than dragon riding.

This I do agree with

Fighting from horseback would be amazing, especially if there were some larger scale battles to do it in.

I don't see why it would be so hard to implement. In LoZ: Twilight princess I thought the horseback fighting was great. And all it was was attack to the right/left and aim bow.

I can see your point. It'd be like Jake Sully riding Toruk in Avatar.
