Do you think lycanthropy should feel more like a curse?

eh, not really agreeing with that, i think becoming one should be something that happens as you play the game

yeah, that sounds more interesting to me

I was wondering when you were going to update that thread REL.
Yeah, time got away for me for a bit because I started a summer course, but now things have calmed down and I should be able to update it sometime this week.

Well, this would be cool if silver weapons were on par with other tiers of weapons (we just discussed this) instead of just being a part of the companion questline. Also, silver armor would need to make a comback. Or maybe mithril at least.

Yeah, there needs to be a greater variety of weapons and armor in Skyrim, especially specialty gear designed for certain enemies. Does anyone know what level Silver weapons were at in Oblivion? I'm thinking they should probably be around Elven level, that way they're stronger than Iron or Steel, but not so much that their bonus damage to werewolves, spirits, and vampires etc make them super powered.

I do like these, especially the first one, but when you start penalizing folks like this you start to get a clash of "Lore v.s. Gameplay" which wouldn't be too much of a thrill, me thinks.

The lunar transformation would give you at least three hours notice that alerts you you're going to transform, and probably one at the start of the day. For example, at the start of the day:

"You feel your beastblood stirring, a full moon shall rise tonight."
And as the sun sets:
"Your beastblood boils, you'll transform soon."

Of course, even with notice, there's the chance that you will be caught at an inopportune time. That's why I think the Ring of Hicine should be able to nullify the forced transformation if you equip it before you transform.

Or it could be something like the screen-flash that happens as a werewolf when you're going to be changing back to a human soon.

a forced transformation a couple of times a week sounds like an idea to me, making it more like in Daggerfall.

So a previous TES game did include this as a forced transformation. Interesting.

I was gonna say that Nirn is a completely different planet from Earth, therefore their werewolves & vamps could also display differences from what we are familiar with. But if a previous tES game actually had forced transformations, it doesn't make sense that this is not so in Skyrim.
