Do you think The Burned Man can be kill this time?

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 2:30 am

My guessing is in Honest Heart storyline, you will not able to kill him directly. But somehow at the end he die without any witness in the scene, and after that you still hear rumor about Burned Man walking in Mojave Wasteland :hehe:

Well...yes and no. Will you kill him in the DLC? You prolly have a choice, will he come back to the Mojave...probably not. But I'll probably get a mod that makes him a companion because I have a good feeling about this guy.

Since he'll appear in the gameworld instead of behind glass screens where he's untouchable I'm guessing we can break lore and kill him with ease.
Remember that everyone can be killed if they're "in the gameworld".
We can't kill Oliver unless we side against NCR.
We can't kill Lanius unless we side against Legion.
We can't kill Yes Man as he uploads himself onto a new securitron .
And we can't kill the Gun Runners vendor as he's in an indestructible booth.
But Graham? From the trailer he is to be "in" the gameworld, so we can likely kill him.
/opinion And that would be lore-breaking IMO.
Him, THE Graham, the man that has been reported as being shot dead on multiple occasions, the man who was lit on fire and thrown down the Grand Canyon, gets killed by a [censored] mailman?
I don't care about how demi-god we end up, in lore we're just a mail man and in lore he's THE Graham, lore-wise it doesn't make sense for a delivery guy to kill a beast like him. /opinion

This. Graham will more than likely be killable. I just hope they don't make his death canon.

No we USED to be a mailman just like Graham USED to be a morman missionary, I think we've both surpassed those roles a long time ago.

He's been a commander of the Legion for what? 30 years?
We've been a merc for hire for what? 2 months?

I agree with gabriel77dan. It would svck if he was really easy to kill. Woud be great if they made him like the creatures in dead money. You shoot him "dead" and he gets back up agian. Short of blowing him to bits or destroying his head or turning him to ash and goo, it would be awesome from him to keep getting back up.

Nope. We've been a courier. You're still a courier no matter what. Don't put a definite story on a Role-playing game.

His death definitely shouldn't be cannon assuming you can kill him, (unless that's the end of the DLC,
Spoiler
like killing Elijah in DM
) but experience doesn't really matter when you have a gun. I've never held a gun in my life, if he didn't know I was there, had little to no protection, which looks like would be the case from the trailer, and I had a clear shot, I could kill him. Would I ever be able to get into a spot like that? Probably not. :P haha, but my point was that just because he was a commander for 30 years doesn't mean a merc with 2 months under his belt couldn't kill him.

I'm just worried that his legend will be ruined if we can "lol-sneakattack!" him with a laser rifle. :(
Even if it turns out to be canon that he isn't killed in a later Fallout game his legend would still be ruined.

What have you done for me lately? Well actually we dont know what Graham has been doing in Zion but we do know that the courier has been out bringing down entire armies almost single handedly. Seems like when this whole thing is over with the courier is going to be quiet a legend himself.

If we kill Graham they need a display case in the lucky 38 suite so I can show off his severed head

I hope that if we even try he'll kill us instantly with a round-house kick to the crotchal region. That would be tons better than having him be "essential". It would be nice to have a person in the world that is actually better than you.

Won't matter to some of us.

Give me a chance to sneak attack crit this guy with any weapon, and you better believe I'm taking full advantage of that opportunity. Courier vs. Legend? Courier walks away and becomes the new legend.

And that's how it works with legends.

[censored] lore.

Sneak attack? Please i'm walking up to him face to face and letting him know "My name is sue, how do you do? You gunna die!"

I'm gunna hang him from the top of the lucky 38. I am the new legate.

Experience matters more than you might think I've killed a few animals and you get plenty exited. I would think it would be even more killing a legend of the wastes. Also without experience you would know what is safe on the gun or how to load the clip its not like the movies.

I'm pretty sure he'll be killable as all but 2 ncps are yes man and the vendor tron, I think that he should be hard to kill based on lore and that would be fairly easy to due by the devs having given him high special and weapon skills along with high hp which would seem like an obvious way to make Graham killable and still keep with lore.

I'm guessing he'll either go unconscious instead of dying, or if we can 'kill' him, the ending will mention his body going missing or something like that.

Exactly, Graham might have some rep when it comes to the Legion but hell, The courier defied DEATH.. Getting shot twice in the head at point blank range > Getting lit of fire and pushed down a hill.
Grahame fumbled a huge battle, badly. We, the courier single handedly reroute power from a major installation, (twice if you steal the helios power for the thumb of god weapon) destroy the fiends, destroy the BoS, Make supremely powerfull allies (Boomers)

AND, at the end of the day drive out two post apocalyptic super-powers, on your own!

Courier > Graham WITHOUT A DOUBT.

I think being thrown into the Grand Canyon is a little bit more dangerous than you're making it out be.

And regardless of his 'execution', Graham also survived being headshotted by First recon snipers five times. This is a man that even Boone couldn't kill!
