Do *you* wear *that* Dovakiin helmet?

Post » Sun Jun 10, 2012 7:09 pm

One of my characters (Birgette the Stormcloak soldier) has worn the horned helmet since she found the iron one under Helgen Keep. Although, it doesn't have the faceguard like in that picture- her whole face is visible. I like this helmet cos it's heavy armor, but I can see her face. She recently upgraded to the Steel Horned Helmet. It goes nicely with her newly acquired Wolf Armor. I think it looks badass.

Nope. Just looks silly to me. Same with the Daedric helm and any other horned helms. Eh, if I'm being honest most of the helms look pretty bad.

Sure do. B)

It looks stupid as heck, but so does my Nord... Might as well go all out. :D

Used to for a few levels, then replaced it with some Light Armor.

I usually use it when I'm just starting in the game, until I get the Helmet of Yngol or another helmet that's more suitable to my character. The Helmet of Yngol is obviously the superior horned helmet.

Never worn it. My legionnaire keeps one as a portable latrine.

Nah, I prefer the http://bb.xieke.com/files/2012-02-07_00007.jpg ;)
The Iron one is cool, but I think it protects your neck too bad to be effective. When running normally in third person I can see my whole neck exposed.
True, it might give better moveability, but when fighitng fully decked out you won't need backspins and I at least would prefer to protect my neck.

I myself prefer the steel horned helmet over the iron one, i think it looks cool and its more defence for a lower level.

OMG YES!! I SO want Fur versions of the MIGHTY Dwarven boots of ass-kicking!

There's a mod that does exactly that for weapons, but I haven't found one for armors yet =(

I wear it sometimes when i'm not playing an Argonian. It just looks silly on the beast races.

As do most helmets, :(.

I wore it for a short while on my first character, a Nord, but once I levelled up a bit I decided that I didn't really need a helmet, and of course all characters look better without them.

On my Argonian, as the quoted post above suggests, I also don't wear helmets, due to the fact that they look quite silly, and unrealistic considering that they don't account for the massive spikes that come out of my head.
