Your choice for a sacrifice to Boethiah

Post » Sun Jun 03, 2012 11:48 am

Is the Ebony Blade the reward for these "daedric quests" about which I've been reading? You have to sacrifice 10 followers to complete tha questline? You can put your reponse under a spoiler tag so the OP can choose not to see it - I don't mind spoiling it for myself because I'll never do it.
The Ebony Blade is a 2 handed samurai sword that you get as a reward for 1 of the daedric quests . One of the rumors you hear around whiterun involves the jarls kid , follow that one up , it's a pretty short quest . The sword starts out pretty weak , but for every 2 followers or quest givers you kill with it the damage goes up .

I sacrificed the manly chick from the Bannered Mare to Boethia , love that Ebony Mail , totally worth it .

I've only done it twice. Once was the Headsman from Solitude (Ahtar). Guy has a real attitude. Second time was Calder, the housecarl from Windhelm. Got tired of him saying "You lost?" or "I hope you're not planning on causing any trouble" or "Can I help you?" every time I walked into my own home. Basically, I'm looking for a follower that has bugged me for one reason or the other.

Hm, thinking about it, I would sacrifice Ahtar, next time. Njada Stonearm is just a *censored*, but he is an executioner and head jailer for a living.

"You lost?"

It was after the umpteenth time of hearing that from that grumpy layabout Calder that I took him on a very special road trip. I'm trying to think who Eola is without looking her up.

All the Housecarls do that. If the AI was decent, I'd think they were hinting about being lonely. As it is, I just think they don't fully realize you live there.

Eola. Thatll teach her for being a dirty cannibal.

*ding ding ding* Yep, that's who I'll bring.

I know i'm digging up a (relatively) old thread here... but I'm finally pursuing this quest now, and was trying to think of someone who might deserve, or at least, accept what's coming to them... Eola is perfect.

It's not so much a matter of punishment for being a cannibal... After all, my character herself was a participant in the forbidden meal... it's a matter of commanding a sacrifice... and then becoming one.

Poetic justice.

Lydia mostly because of that "I'm sworn to carry your burdens" line.

I don't use followers as a general rule (as a stealth character) but even so, I'm glad that Lydia has at least *some* semblance of a personality. I'm not going to sacrifice her to a Daedric lord, just because she periodically lets slip her regret that she swore some oath to become someone's official Peon.

Eola it still is.

Maybe he/she is simply trying to stir [censored] up with their online persona, because obviously... it works.

It's a GAME, folks. Maintain some perspective.

I felt extremely bad doing this quest, but usually I'd rather do quests in the game than RP and leave it, even for a good char. I ended up choosing Faendal since he's pretty useless anyway. I actually hated Sven, until I realized if I spoke to Faendal he would do the same thing (with the fake letter), so now I'm neutral and would give up either of them.

I did Malacath's quest first and so I gained some Orc followers. I just sacrificed one of them. LOL

Awww seriously people, why would anyone harm cute, wittle J'zargo? :( Hmm, I guess my assassin will either sacrifice a Dark Brotherhood initiate OR maybe Lydia will finally get what's coming to her hahahahaha
