Your choice for a sacrifice to Boethiah

Post » Sun Jun 03, 2012 8:18 am

No hired Mercenaries.
I can't think of any myself.
For me, I'm too emotionally attached to Lydia, although by this time she's useless with the exception of guarding my house.
Companions are right out. love those guys. Shoot, ALL the NPCs that want to follow are too cool to sacrifice to that daedric b-wad.
Have you folks found anyone that would be willing to follow who you think deserves to die at the pillar?

Cheers!

I actually can't see myself completing that quest on any of my characters. If I could use a Thalmor I would, but, unfortunately the point of the quest is to take someone who trusts you so F Boethia. I started it because I thought I could 'complete' it by killing all of the cult (and maybe you can, but when I killed the last one and the Conduit started talking to me I had to exit the dialogue so I didn't see the response options. The last survivor had run into a Frost Troll's patrolling path and the survivor died before the Frost Troll so the Troll was whaling on me and killing me during the conversation with the Conduit. I was so pissed that I haven't gone back to a wiki to see if there was a way.).

If the quest is/was causing others to bug out and I had to clear it from my log I'd choose a merc or a rude follower.

Edited for spelling.

From a moral point of view its a lot easier than getting the Ebony Blade up-and-running for Mephala. 1 friend/companion I might spare but 10 of them?
To the OP haven't managed it. Benor comes close. So dumb he couldn't even get to be a guard.

I was going to use an assassin underling after completing the Dark brotherhood quest line but when I took her up there to be sacrificed she was bugged and couldn't activate the middle of the circle so I just gave up. Sven is also a good choice because he's extremely annoying...

Is the Ebony Blade the reward for these "daedric quests" about which I've been reading? :P You have to sacrifice 10 followers to complete tha questline? :o You can put your reponse under a spoiler tag so the OP can choose not to see it - I don't mind spoiling it for myself because I'll never do it.

That sword is ridiculously bugged for such a huge request.

I sacrificed Faendal to Boethiah, because I got sick of his incredibly ugly face.

Also to return the favor of him betraying me the instant a guard attacks me.

Too bad we can't sacrifice the Blacksmith's child from Solitude. I think he's the one in the one shop that comments on our appearance of toughness and put's his father's life on the line, right? :P

Stenvar from Windhelm

Because for aslong as i have being playing the game, he has been sitting on his ass inside candlehearth hall. I figured he was as good as dead anyways as he hasn't moved.

J'Zargo.

Boethiah's realm is the place for J'Zargo to become great.

Failing that, any mercenary - preferably Cosnach or Stenvar, because they aren't 'unique' in terms of fighting style, or that special in terms of dialogue.

You have to sacrifice 10 FOLLOWERS!?

You don't have to. Only if you want to strengthen the sword, which is optional.

Roggi Whatshisname from Kynesgrove. Gave him back his family shield way way back when i was there with Delphine. Months later I show up and say "follow me".

Kynesgrove isn't that far from the Shrine, and being a local, he should have known what goes on up there. And yet he follows me right up to the top anyway. Was that shield really worth that kind of devotion? Or was he just really dim?

Illia. Not only for the bitter irony - she was supposed to sacrifice me but decided to play the hero not go through with it, yet I decided to sacrifice her for real - but also the fact that she's glitched and can only be recruited once. Basically, her sacrifice had no consequences.

From a moral point of view its a lot easier than getting the Ebony Blade up-and-running for Mephala. 1 friend/companion I might spare but 10 of them?
I killed the same guy ten times - the court mage in Whiterun - I just kept turning him into a Dead Thrall and each kill counted towards the blade.

If only they had that " Biggest fan" guy from Oblivion who would follow you around after you completed the arena. It would be a service to socity to sacrifice him...

This is a good choice. I sacrificed Eola on the character that wasn't in the companions, but if I had been in the companions I would have done away with her. On my current character I made her join the Blades. What a loser.

Awesome lol! Forgot about him. I'd use him in a second too!
Also Faendal. I hate elven faces. I went to get him and a dragon attacked Riverwood and he died.
I was ok with that.

Ancano. I would have loved to have had Ancano come with me to that shrine. Unfortunately he's not a follower. He can still come to the shrine with me though since he's now trapped in my sword which coincidently is now named Ancano.

Or a chicken from the opening town in Skyrim. Fix one up in fur armor, give it a pair of stilts, and no one would be able to tell it apart from a Nord.

Even if I weren't a Thalmor sympathizer, I'd still sacrifice that irritating thing.

Golldir might be a good choice. The [censored] doesn't seem to notice he's blocking a doorway half of the time. Seemed to get downed pretty easily too, not much of a meat shield (as all followers are to me.)

Another option is to slaughter all of Boethia's followers. That way you don't need to bring an innocent to sacrifice. Her followers are evil anyway.
Boethia will pop up a bit pissed, but you get the same quest afterwards.
