Your dream build (that skyrim doesn't currently support)

Post » Tue Jun 12, 2012 5:33 pm

trickster, fast (speed), agile (agility), able to produce great illusions to fool his enemy (althought that might be a bit op  ) and fond of traps but also able to hold his own with his duel short swords (i miss my short swords) if he gets into trouble

The trickster's shout would be throw voice. I've tried this build

I think I tried a more Devil May Cry inspired Trickster class in Oblivion back when I was crazy into Devil May Cry. That was a fun build.

A scout. Light armor, shortsword, acrobatics/athletics with an emphasis on speed. I liked that build a lot and played him to death when I realized that build would no longer exist.

A Khajiit that shoots magical sweetrolls and leaves a rainbow trail behind.

Now seriously, I'd like an acrobat build. Swift with dealing surprise attacks with a short blade, but even swifter in dodging enemies.

A pure mage able to rely on Destruction, without having to go through shenanigans to keep up with lack of damage scaling/combat mana regen.

Destructions a joke. Spells don't even scale! When you get the master spells, you can't even use them unless you maxxed out enchanting or destruction! Also, you have to charge up a huge spell, so followers are out of the question because of the AoE stuff. At least enemy mages' spells scale. Ever wonder how at high levels, they don't even use master spells? They keep on using their good ol apprentice spells. Deadly though. I'm going to have to either raise Illusion, use Enchanting to reduce spells to 0% cost or just give up and move on. With warriors, I can just pick up a weapon and an armor and you are good to go. With mages, you have to keep leveling to get that spell you want, but when you do that everything scales and you have to keep going even more, but by then your spells effectiveness just drops.

Except that most creatures in this game don't scale past level 35. Most will be stuck in their mid 20s for the rest of the game. If they scaled all the way up to the soft level cap of 50, then you'd have a problem with destruction. The thing with warriors is that they're TOO strong (and boring), so don't compare mages to them.

An unarmed build. Nuff said

Absolutely viable today. Khajiit+gloves of the pugilist = 35 damage per swing. If you disenchant them you can create more powerful enchantments too, if you are into enchanting. Add fists of steel and you are set.

that is about as limiting an option of character creation that there is.

I wish there was a way to forgo weapons completely, and act as a grey beard. Fast cool down for shouts, and only your fists.

Most of the classes are already there in my opinion save for Monk and Acrobat. I guess I'd really like a shapeshifter outside of the realm of Lycanthropy, like bear shifting, cat shifting, thorns spells; or maybe even Golem transformation spells where you turn into an atronach for like 120 sec instantly (Adding of course new Golems like Stone Atronach and stuff, but this goes against Skyrims 3-elemental only world). But really I'd like to see a way to blend spell casting and 2-H weapon combat for like a Paladin. Sounds a little OP yeah, but my idea was to be able to shoulder your 2-H weapon and have just ONE free hand and cast single handed spells with and increased Magicka cost. Switching between spells and my wepaons (be it 1-H or 2-H) feels really clunky to me. In Oblivion you oculd do this, and I really miss that...

...But the spell I most owuld like to see is a Corpse Explode spell, give my Necromancer more of a true feel and round out the "class" alot better.

True musician class, like bards, minstrels and skalds are missing. It's even no fun role-playing them as of the lack of instruments.

Missing true ranger/scout/hunter abilities, like track reading or detect hidden stuff.

Hunter is another topic as it would require spears - well spears are needed anyway.

A greater display of priest classes, with different focus and abilities depending on the god they represent.

r...really? My mage is 27 and I can see him being 35+ when I'm finished my primary leveling(maxxed conjuration, going for illusion destruction enchant and restoration but destructions too hard to level for me) I was about to give up because I realized by the time I finished and got to 50 or above, everything would be 40 or 50 making illusion a pain. Good to know! I heard about 50+ volkihar vamps so that just got me thinking everyone else scaled too.

My dream build would be a thief/rouge that can climb buildings/walls/mountains and jump far and is a super bad ass acrobat who has a mini crossbow, uses throwing knives/darts throwing stars, can use a sword relatively well, can dodge good in combat, and can also use a short bow. He would also be good at stealth, can pick locks and pockets like a pro.

It would be cool to be part of a thieves guild that does jail breaks (helps break you out of jail, you can do missions to break fellow members out of jail, be that by running in and assassinating the guards, or getting arrested to start a riot and escape, or just escape silently with the fellow member).

A cleric who can use greater powers from the nine divines as spells or abilities. They should become more powerful with increases to fame, and decrease or become lost due to infamy. Prayer, evangelism and pentance would also impact accordingly. Would require some re-instatement of the fame/infamy statistic. Oblivion was not all bad, and had many useful constructs that could be leveraged "if desired."
