Your Favorite Place

Post » Fri Jun 15, 2012 6:47 am

Out of all the places I've been in Skyrim, I'd have to say that I like Bloated Man's Grotto the most. It's a very beautiful place with lots of wildflife and greenery.

So, what is your favorite place that you have been to in Skyrim. It can be a house or a cave or a dungeon. Feel free to describe it as much as you want, but if you include any storylines please hide the spoilers.

Now, DISCUSS!!!

I found a glitch, and it was very mistical when i went into it... and fell into a realm of grey... It reminded me of my own little realm of oblivion.... unfinished clearly...

To be completly honest Blackreach was astonishing... So blackreach... Even tho in game days without seeing a friendly face scares the crap out of me. (I take followers with me, but i accedently killed lydia on the way down... :P )

yo know the river east of the throat of the world? if you walk along that river you will find a log over a large waterfall that drops into, what i found out th hard way to be, a rather shallow stream filled with rocks. that log is by far one of the places i love most in skyrim, the view is amazing (imo) and the random bandit always provides fun and creative deaths for your pleasure (once i fus ro dah'd him into the waterfall and he bounced out after hitting some rocks, it was fun looking for his elven bow  )

I like the Reach. I like walking along the roads, listening to the roar of the waterfalls. I like looking up at the walls of stone rising up around me and the sun and as it sinks behind them.

I found a little hole in between two rocks underwater in Blackreach where I could just keep swimming down forever. It was a good thing that I had just found that necklace of waterbreathing just before I went down there.

Ever done the quest 'The Mind of Madness'? ;)

But personally, I'd say ... the Throat of the World. I love standing there, looking down on Skyrim with the aurora glowing overhead. Beautiful spot! (:

The area surrounding the Alchemist's Shack in The Rift. That area is probably my all-time favorite spot in any video game I've ever seen. I would love to live in The Rift in real life.

I was wandering around The Rift one time and came across a hill with a tower on it. Their were armed men patroling around it but they were friendly. After I climbed to the top of the tower I was met with a vista of all of Skyrim. It has to be my favorite place in the game. Sometimes I take my character there to meditate and talk with the guards, just to pass time while I RP. There is also a small valley close to the Skyrim/Cyrodiil border with a castle tower on one mountian side, another ruined tower in a middle hill and a hunters lodge on the otherside. I liked that place very much too.

Am I the only one who is really attracted to the colder reaches of Skyrim? My favourite place might just
be all of Winterhold or the Pale. I love the glacial beauty and frozen ice fields of Winterhold, the serenity
of the place is just so mindblowing, especially when coupled with the harsh climate of almost never-ending
blizzards. The Pale is also an all-time favourite. The white, snow-covered pine trees and the open fields of
snow puts a spell on me... I hate the fact, that we're not granted the opportunity to live in either of those
holds! ... Oh, wel... Mods.

I do like the lookout at my home in Markarth , where you can see over the walls and the mountains leering over the city .

I also like the area all around Riften lake , the tree's are nice looking .

I like Blackreach as well .

I also like the swamp lands near Solitude , i find then eery at night with all the fog around .

One of my favorite places is Forelhost, which is a quite long dungeon. Not sure what my absolute favorite place is though.

Reachwind Eyrie. It's like my own little personal tower. I love the view the Overlook provides and remoteness of its location.

Eldergleam Sanctuary and the Misty Grove are two other places that are just gorgeous to me.

in a way im actually unimpressed by Whiterun , the only nice thing is its palace other then that the whole place is a bit of a dump.
it looks grey and dusty and its walls are falling apart , plus theres no colour or flora any where , it kinda looks like a tumble weed town but on top of a hill.

you would think that it being the capital of skyrim that it would have a more grandeur look about it .

in my opinion Markarth and Solitude look so much more acceptable for capital cities .

On the bridge next to Nilheim, the place where that guy leads you to his friends. Anyway, on the bridge is a waterfall slide that went as far as Darkwater Crossing on a damn waterfall!
