Brush gun;
Silenced sniper rifle;
.44 scoped h/gun;
Riot shotgun;
Marksman carbine.

The sniper rifle is carried by by faithful gunbearer, EDE, or Rex. As well as all the extraneous cr*p and booty.

Bounty hunter duster;
Raider badlands armour;
Reinforced combat armour (thinking of ditching this);
Formal wear (There are always times when a gentleman has to look his best).

Plus a range of grenades, knives, and a hatchet (it just doesn't feel right leaving home without them).

Gobi Campaign Sniper Rifle, loaded with JSP hand loads

Remnant Power Armor and Helmet.

That's honestly all I ever needed throughout the entire game, unless I'm in a casino where they take your weapon - then I bring a silenced .22 with hollow points.

Getting a bit boring though, so working on my gun skills. Think I might get the Mysterious Magnum and Dinner Bell.

I'm currently Level 10 (would be higher, but I'm playing with ART so my leveling rate is reduced)

Weapons:
-Hunting Rifle+ scope (Long Range)
-Cowboy Repeater+ custom action & maple stock (Med-long Range)
-9mm SMG (Short-med Range)
-Lever Action Shotgun (Extreme Short Range)
-10mm Pistol+ silencer (Stealth Ops)
-Plasma Rifle (Medium Range)
-Laser RCW (Almost All Range)

Apparel
-Combat Armor (best DT/lb ratio armor I can find at the moment)
-Desperado Cowboy Hat (+1 Perception)
-Sunglasses (I just look cool with them :disguise: )

I'm lvl14-15 with no previous Fallout experience so tell me if im doing it right. Im usually running with:

- Ratslayer (fully customized, black, higher DPS Varmint Rifle) for short range
- 10mm SMG for close range
- The Chopper for easy enemies I would rather not waste ammo on
- Frag 'nades

- Recon Armor (+5 Sneak)
- Indiana Jones hats (+1 Perception)
- CSI shades

1. Lucky-handloaded rounds + cowboy perk (the gun in my hand 90% of the time)
3. Dinnerbell-12 gauge magnum rounds (tight spaces, dark caves, handy for close encounters)
4. This Machine-handloaded rounds Deathclaw dispatcher.
5. Pulse Gun (no real training and standard vendor ammo) good for making popcorn out of power armor.
6. Binoculars.
7. Normal stimpack
8. Super stimpack

hardcoe mode-normal difficulty, no companions.

AMR with hand-loaded ammo

That was all I needed to tear everything a new hole.

*EDIT*: space suit, space helmet, rebreather (I look like an aquanaut!)

I'm all for Lucky, the reloadability of Mysterious Magnum is much better though. It fills the cowboy role too. Find it on the Lonesome Wanderer by El Dorado Gas and Service

My setup for the battle of Hoover Dam:

1st Recon Beret
Re-inforced combat armour mk2 (yeah, I got too lazy to change it in the end)
Sniper Rifle+
This Machine
Lucky
Binoculars

I had plenty of other guns stored at home but meh, this setup served me well for most of the game, so why change it.

I do not see why people are using this heavy armor if they are not using melee, heavy weapons, or explosives as their primary weapons.....

My current hot keys

1: Brush Gun, Trail Carbine or All American
3: Riot Shotgun, Hunting Shotgun or 10mm SMG
4: 10mm Pistol
5: 2-4 Frag Grenades
6: Sniper Rifle
7: Pulse gun
8: Super Stimpacks

Yeah, I change up slots 1&3 often depending on how I feel. Except for the Brush Gun all weapons have all possible vanilla mods installed. Also, all weapons that can shoot hand loaded ammo have a large stockpile of those nice rounds.

I'm Level 28 and have access to pretty much anything I need, but I'm role-playing a Ex- "Red Beret" 1st Recon sniper.

Armor- Regular, green Combat Armor, Red Beret (of course) and Authority Glasses

Weapon hot-keys:
4 -All-American (woodland-camo Marksman Carbine with more powerful zoom-function) for long-range
5 -Riot Shotgun or hunting shotgun (interchangable) for close quarters
7 -9mm pistol, just for a soldier type weapon, don't use it much.
8 -Chance's Knife, close-quarter melee.
6 -Carries 3 or 4 frags for last resort.

Sniper rifle w/suppressor (Gobi/AMR are nice, but I prefer the quiet kill)
Maria
Riot shotgun

Recon armor
Rattan cowboy hat
Authority glasses (a "must have" for any of my characters)

Er... why do people carry Sniper rifles or Anti material rifles which have scopes, and carry binoculars?

Or am I missing something here? :brokencomputer:
