Your main source of Septims?

Well like any other way of making money. Alchemy has turned the tables upright for me lately, it's amazing how one potion can sell for so much. Not to mention just looting everything and selling it. I'd prefer not to 'steal'.

Raiding bandit camps for a bounty. You get the bounty + all the gold the bandits are carrying. Also, selling a crapload of gems to the thieves guild.

I don't cheat though it's easier to make gold with mods because you can craft more valuable equipment than you'd have access to otherwise.

Looting- potions- smithing/ improving loot items- quest rewards. The usual.

I can't bring myself to actually spend my money so it just accumulates and there's nothing I can do with it.

Sometimes I do DB forever jobs. That ranks in around 1000 gold per kill.

Petty thievery, burglary, the odd mugging on the road, a murder or two every once in a while.

Certainly if I've been in an npc's house for any length of time they would do well to count the silverware after I've left.
Crime, contrary to popular saying, does pay quite well actually, at least in TES games.

I loot anything that is five times worth it's weight. Earns me around 5k per dungeon, more at higher levels. No thieving. No enchanting, nor alchemy.
