Here's how I see it - Skyrim is a mediocre Elder Scrolls game. A good game in it's own right, but poor by Elder Scrolls standards.

With that in mind, i'd hate to see another whole main region of Tamriel wasted on Skyrim's design mould. Especially if it's a region i've been looking forward to seeing for a long time.

hm, you do bring up some points.

wasnt a big fan of morrowind back in the day "feel free to hate" but i did admire it's size. oblivion then came out it was fairly large but it had one thing that morrowing didnt have imo which was immersion, it reckon that it had a great storyline. now that skyrim has came out... it does feel slightly smaller but thats it. i feel that visuals were the main focus on this elder scrolls chapter out of all others, and dragons ofcourse haha.

i still love the dragons in this game but to compare this as an elder scrolls game, i believe that its above good. i reckon that redemption can take place if the right DLC's were to be released. but yes, my mind is telling me no "adding a region"

...but my body! MY BODYYYY IS TELLING ME YEEEESSSS

Id like to see the Thalmor step up and get smacked back to Summerset and THEN we go to their doorstep with a paper bag and a lighter...

Yes you can, how could you summon daedra then?

Lol no you can't, and summoning doesn't equal opening the gate, you just spawn a single beast by your side.

And I am practically 100% sure we ain't gonna see a province expansion pack. If we're gonna see anything that big it'll be something like Shivering Isle, aka some neutral place that is not directly related to Tamriel.

same, i believe that dawnguard will just be a new quest with new weapons etc and more association with vampires.

never liked being a vampire, everyone hates you and eventually everyone will want to kill you so you can't mingle in the bannered mare anymore :'(

i think there will be more tombs, a vampire boss fight and maybe JUST maybe... a vampire city built inside of the mountains, away from the sunlight... like dwemmer ruins but a whole new revamp and new look on buildings inside.

They did say somewhere that the DLC will include a new ladnmass.

I'd rather not visit a new province. Daedric Prince's realm? Sure. An island off the coast of Skyrim? Sure. Another province? I'd rather they dedicate a full game to each province, rather than just DLC.

the empire could have defeated these guys years ago!

your ideas of a quest?

I think that apart from the Snow Prince/Falmer - as they were previously in their "glory" - the great collapse and the volcanic eruption in Morrowind could constitute a great and intriguing plot - much more interesting than Thalmor in my opinion.

The Empire didn't have the Dovahkiin last time and therefore their legions got battered by the Thalmor.

It'd be cool if the DLC was Summerset Isles, you travel there and take out the rest of the Aldmeri Dominion as part of the Civil War story, or hunt down the rest of the Thalmor with Delphine :D. One can dream

What about the Dova taking on an army of thalmor by themselves? Almost seems kind of unfair, but the thalmor it.

By opening an Oblivion gate.
I'm not an expert on this, but lore monkeys seem to agree that opening Oblivion gates is possible from Mundus,
but not the other way around after the Oblivion Crysis.

OB can still open gates so long as they post no harm to mundus, as is the case with Sheogorath's gate to the Shivering Isles which occurs after the crisis

Ok, that makes sense.

So there's nothing stopping some daedric prince from inviting you to their plane in an expansion.

They did this quite well with Shivering Isles and one can only prey and hope for a new region to decend upon our souls, cuz Im sick and tierd from the piss boring land of Skyrim. Even tho Oblivion was mostly huge pile og rivers and and beautifull forrests, it was still more exiting to explore than skyrim.

I could see High Rock being the setting for a dlc, judging by location and size.

it is possible, but i don't think you'll get to places like blackmarsh or elsweyr.

The lore does make it a distinct possibilty for the island of artaeum to appear near skyrim, which could be a nice contrast to the setting of skyrim.

I would actually be pretty surprised if they did'nt include artaeum as a dlc/expansion.

I'm predicting they will open up parts of Morrowind to the east of Skyrim. As far as the water between Tamriel and Vvardenfell. That and the new Orsinium in the south. The new Orsinium I think was aided by the Empire after the Orsmer were drove out of their last home.

I'd like to see parts of High Rock but I personally haven't as yet seen any gates going west unless there is a cut through cave in the mountains.

Anyone saying non-neighbouring regions such as Elsweyr and Summerset Isles are I think aiming a bit high. I'm reckoning we'll have to wait for the next TES for that.

The addition of the Isle of Solstheim would be nice but the chance of seeing the mainland part of Morrowind as mentioned is exciting enough on its own. We haven't seen this part of Morrowind yet. There is the Dunmer city of Blacklight just east of Windhelm. Blacklight is even nearer to Windhelm than Winterhold.
