Do you realize you spent somewhat short of half a year in the game?
I don't want to know how much I've spent.

Well.. Look at the bright side about RS.. If you pay attention to quests and do them, RS has a very good and decent lore behind it. Better than most MMORPGs lore...

It actually does. The lore behind the gods and the Mahjarrat is pretty interesting, at least up until I quit. Also I just need to throw it out there that my character was a Zaros follower ever since the original Dig Site quest was released.

It also deserves praise for the quest style. Not all "Kill X" quests like most MMORPGs. Then again the quests do serve an entirely different purpose so it makes sense. It's too bad so much of the writing is trying to be comical, all it does it make the game look like a joke.

Used to have a membership for a couple months, years ago. I died at level 60 something trying to get some wizard apparel and lost a ton of unique gear. Ended up giving my account away to someone.

Get on again and do Ritual of the Mahjarrat. God, that is by far the best Mahjarrat-Related Quest so far. Heck, did you quit before or after the quest where Azzanadra rebuild Zaros temple and actually made contact with Zaros? I love those quests a lot and I am Zarosian as well; Zaros is in my avatar...

I wish I was able to get back on cause I wanna get ready for the Dragonkins... They are NOT gonna be easy... And I want get Zaros fully return and see the beginning on the next God Wars..

I hope nobody is still paying to play that horrid game. It might have been okay when it was new but now it's just silly.

I'll still pay to play the game. It does have very good quests and interesting lore. + some of my favorite weapons I've ever seen are on there. (Hand Cannons and Dragon Claws. Loved them)

I lured Black Demon Bots to Black Dragons and watch them get slaughtered XD. I also crashed FM Bots by making fires within a 3x3 square that is part of where the bot begins a row of fire.

Get on again and do Ritual of the Mahjarrat.
No thank you.

Is that rebuilding one the one that awards the curses set of prayers? If so I did it. Spent a ton of money to get 95 prayer and Turmoil because I had big plans for killing frost dragons. It was great money, but you had to pay close attention to keep a good pace and so it felt more like work than a game. That's the reason I quit, actually. This was all a year and a half ago or so.

You're the kind of person that made my 99 Firemaking a living hell, even if I wasn't botting.

No. Ritual of the Mahjarrat came out back in Sept of 2011. It is by far the best quest ever.. It is a Grandmaster quest where you finally go to the Ritual that all the Mahjarrats had mentioned since like Y2000... And finally saw most of the current Mahjarrats... It was fun.. You do some implanting first to help your side then you go to the site with your White Knight and Druid Friends you made during "While Guthix Sleeps" while also having your one desert friend. Can't remember his name; he helps you with Curse of Arrav..

Well.. You meet Khazard again (Yeah, he didn't permanently died and he got a new look!) And apparently, your one Desert Friend was a Zarosian Mahjarrat after all.. Which freaked out the White Knights. Then you fight Khazard, and his warriors.. I hated his hound though. He keeps summoning that Hellhound, as a Ghost, and it does constant damage. Good thing is, your Mahjarrat friend one hits it every time.. Quite fun..

After that, you go to the main site then Lucien comes up and acting all big and mighty with his staff of Armadyl.. Yada yada yada... Then he summoned up some Ice Titans for you, and your buddies to kill, while your one Mahjarrat friend keeps Lucien busy. (Lucien hits around 1,000 - 8,000. You do NOT want him to hit you). After those things are killed, Lucien keeps yada yada again then summoned up a bunch of Ice Demons... Then Sliske came, who is the Zarosian Mahjarrat that created the Barrows Bros. He summoned up all 6 Barrows Bros to help you fight for the rest of the quest..

After killing the demons, the rest of the Mahjarrats begin to show up. Azzanadra, the two you saw fighting in that pyramid (One had a Camel Head), Khazard comes back, Hazeel comes, and Zemourgal comes, with his Gargoyle buddy. You get to watch all the Mahjarrats argue about who is going to be sacrificed for this ritual then your player said something that convinced Azzanadra to yell out something about. "Lucien should be it." and a fight breaks out between all the Mahjarrats.. Then that stupid Gargoyle summoned up bunch of stupid zombies for you to fight.. Don't need to do anything though. The Barrows Bros will slaughter them. After that, The Gargoyle summons up Arrav to fight and this when you get to use a little trap you implanted.

Earlier, you implanted Arrav's heart in some rocks nearby. All you need to do is to get Arrav near this and he will see his heart. This will break the mind control, thus freeing Arrav finally, and then he goes and attacks Zemourgal. Zemourgal begins losing this fight then gets mad that Lucien doesn't care and yelled out something then everybody just gains up on Lucien.. Then, Lucien shouted and stopped the combat and finally said who was going to be sacrificed...

This part made me sad.. Lucien said the one he wants isn't in front of him but below him... Remember that one Mahjarrat you help by freezing him up again below the site? Well.. Lucien used his power to bring him up and sacrificed him because he was the weakest Mahjarrat out of all of them.. I felt sad cause it was my fault that he was there in the first place, right? Well.. Anyways, after this. Our friend Azza gets made and he, and Sliske, summoned up the power of Zaros and used it on Lucien doing about 70% of his damage then Lucien gets mad and cast a spell to summon up the Stone of Jas.

Lucien used the Stone of Jas to charge up himself then the Dragonkins show up! This was the funniest part. Lucien, level 850, gets slaughtered in a few hits by the Dragonkins. Wanted to see that for a long time since I done While Guthix Sleeps... Anyways, after that. The Dragonkins gives a warning saying not to use the stone, blah blah, then leave. The rest of the Mahjarrats begin leaving except for two. Your desert friend one and Sliske. What happens here is then Sliske tries to turn YOU into his 7th Barrows Brother BUT one of your Druid Friends saved you by jumping in the way... Then Sliske left, with your Druid Friend who is now a Barrows Brother. Then your desert friend left then you left with your White Knight buddy...

At the end of this quest, you have a vision of the Dragonkins destroying Draynor and... you get to watch all of those good NPCs die again.. (The ones that were killed by Lucien in While Guthix Sleeps, remember? This made me sad.. I liked a lot of them) And well.. Quest Complete...

God, I wanted to say that ever since I mentioned the quest >.>

I was referring to the other quest you mentioned.

You also just wrote what could be a short college essay on Runescape. I'm sorry.

I played from 2001 to 2006. The game was great back in the day, but since it went "3D". it went down hill.

I was the 11th person to reach 99 fishing too. Got it in classic when you had to click every time to fish! Now that auto fishing crap.

Nah. I basicly just wrote the whole quest itself. Read it, if you hadn't. That quest is frekin good and interesting. I would love to redo that again.

I just recently became a memeber for the first time. I played RuneScape a bunch way back in the day. Like, 2005 back in the day. I'm mostly just doing the Mage Training Arena now, trying to get Bones to Peaches.

I don't care if everybody says the spell svcks.

I refuse to be told "no you can't cast that" when I have 70 magic. :P

i used to play it, mostly the free version, i did use a prepaid card to do the premium version but i found that i disliked the premium quests as they were pretty much just really long fetch quests.

I really enjoyed mining and smithing, something i had hoped to see in the elderscrolls for a long time as a result.

I learned a bunch of stuff from Runescape, like what "Lol" and "noob" meant a very long time ago in the game.

Ha! thats exactly true for me. When i was first playing literally everyone was Saying LOL every 5 seconds and i was very confused.

I stopped playing long ago, I got a new cluter and wanted to how it did, quit the instant I saw it had no GUI scaling.

I sit on a couch using my 1080p 37 inch tv as a monitor...

RuneScape?

More like Eye Strain.

I managed to remember my password to Runescape. It said that I hadn't signed in for for around 1,400 days. Got some old Halloween gear in the inventory, including a skeleton suit and a pumpkin head. And a bunch of feathers. For some reason.

Damn, that game is old. I first played when Demon Slayer was one of the only quests and there were pretty much only three cities. Had a couple of Halloween masks... If only I knew that I could have made thousands of dollars in real life money had I hoarded them :(.

I was never really into quests, but pking was a blast. I was a pure, so my level was low due to me getting around the leveling formula. That all changed when they switched to 3-D but the game was still okay. The game lost all worth when they began to advertise on websites aimed at little kids in middle school. After that wave hit the makers realized that the new wave of players was more profitable than those that helped build the game. Ironically, they abandoned capitalism in game and decided to regulate price controls. No thanks, I'll leave.

RS is one of my favorite games though it has the worst community I've ever seen.

Pretty much sums the game up.

Played it for like month in 2006, then bought Guild Wars and never touched it again. I guess it was good for a free browser based game, but I would never become a premium member or whatever it is when there are so many better games out there.

I played it for a long while, till I hit the maximum level, then gave my account to a friend. I was always well aware that it was an awful game but I'd made a lot of friends on there and it was kinda' fun to play. Quitting was definitley a great decision though, don't miss it at all.

It keeps your mind at ease if'n you be bored. Aside from that, 'fun' is not a word used to describe that game.

However, I did get to level 70-somethingoranother on the free-to-be-bored-whilst-playing version of the game.
