Anyone earn up to 81 the hard way?

Post » Wed Jun 13, 2012 9:58 pm

Why is it that so many people always bring up "cheating" in a game like Skyrim. How is it "cheating"? You act as though this is an MMO and requires balance or something...There is no cheating. There are exploits, and there are bugs. That's it.

You can call it like you want, the substance doesn't change. Play the game like you will do normally (without exploits) and you will discover that is extremely difficult to reach level 81 -other than useless in my opinion -'cause when you're at level 50 you've almost "done" and probably its better to start a new character rather than doin' everything with the same one.

Is that what i mean in the "hard way". Of course everyone have his vision and can consider "hard" even playin' with cheating/exploits  and this is another matter of course.

The question should have been perhaps: why reach level 81 ?

You make a good point here, just because you "can" reach level 81, doesn't mean you need to, the level by the time you get to a point at which you have achieved all that you feel that you can is the level you get to.
I don't think it should be necessarily something you strive to attain...

I've stated what the hard way its for me...if you find this "fail smart ass" its your problem and i don't care sincerely...no "cheating" for me means even not use every 2 seconds a spell only to level up..play the game as you do "normally" -using a thing only when you really need it...its more clear now ?

Hate to break it to you bud, but no one cares about what your definition of the "hard way" is. You want to discuss your definition of the "hard way"? Make your own thread. And apparently you have no idea what adding your own subjective bias means. The world does not revolve around you my friend. English can't possibly be your native language. It just can't.

again... i've stated this on the basis of what i've said above -"spending dedicated time to train a particular skill" for me doesn't mean using this last every 2 seconds only to level up - like childrens do..

So you have no particular argument and now you're resorting to calling others children because they don't particularly agree with your definition of the "hard way"? The irony stemming from your post is laugh ensuing. No joke.

The Topic Creator wanted to discuss if anyone has reached level 81 in a particular way. When he states cheating, he's describing that as not using console commands or mods (Mods that alter balance or make it easier to do so, things of that nature). Not much people care about how others play their game with no given context, but then there are others who do just for the sake of their [censored].

It's only difficult for you. Leveling to 81 in the vanilla game is all but difficult. It's only time consuming.

Make your own thread if you'd like to discuss that question in further detail.

It took me over 200 hours to get to level 81 on my most recent character, but I am retired from Skyrim until I leave and come back from boot camp so this was many months ago.

So I've decided to take my 1-hand sword/ empty hand character and earn her to 81 (and since I'm on xbox no cheats/mods/etc)

Has anyone accomplished this? No modding or console commanding.

What I've been doing is investing many perks into Alchemy, because once I get my melee skills up, I doubt I'll have the perks to fill out trees like illusion or conjuration, and I'll use mana cost reduction gear and just take the Augmented Flames for Destruction.

I'll probably take a lot of the one-handed perks since I'll be playing the bulk of the game with a 1-hand weapon, and maybe take 3 perks of 2-hand (barbarian, champion, and devastating blow), a few archery perks (zooming + time slow), and generally use enchanting and alchemy in order to make up that fact that I can't perk out my character correctly.

Normally I play my characters very concentrated and not try to do everything, so now I'm going the opposite direction.
By the hard way you without spamming glitches or spamming spells on characters like farkas, or do you mean on a harder difficulty level?
Because I haven't done any glitches but for some reason I just can't get past level 50 the first few times I accidentally deleted my first few characters but then after that I just got bored with all the grinding so I took a break.

I've just recently started up on a harder difficulty level to spice things up a bit and it has gotten a little more interesting now. I've greatly increased my swordplay and timing with my strikes. It really hard to really still be interested in it for that long.

Try setting all of your starting skills to 1 - (or 0) - and upping the difficulty.
Add in a dash of Deadly Combat and just a touch of More Complex Needs and I can guarantee that you'll be grinning like a loon even by the time you manage to get to level 10!
Yep that's exactly what I needed I just reached level 7 and I feel like a boss already. Every battle feels like a boss fight one mistake and it's over it's really intense...I can only shudder to think what it will be like to face my first dragon priest. I'm probably going to need to spam my best spells and catch it off guard with my arrows.

i used enchanting for the magic skills. and for alteration i just went into solitude and put tape on the controller triggers XD so i guess that wasnt 'hard'.

alchemy is by far the most time consuming and encumbering.

my argument is clear to all but you and is on topic. Unless an entitled person say the contrary. I'm always ironic and in good faith, and to me who play a game "cheating" only to reach the level 81 as fast as possible play "like a children",yes. No fun at all in it in my opinion.

everyone here have the right to express his opinion. Of course it could be difficult for me and for those who play the game "normally=without cheating". Not all have thousands of hours to spend on a videogame,so yes, reach the level 81 ITS very difficult to achieve in my opinion

Make your own thread if you'd like to discuss that question in further detail.

Thank you for your suggestion,"new self-proclaimed moderator" :bunny: but my statements were on topic -sadly for you.

There are Pm if you have something "personal" to say - or the ignore function for the record if you "don't like" what you read and don't have arguments to discuss further on topic - just a suggestion in good faith.

Hard Way = no cheating at all, without use an alteration/illusion spell every 2 seconds to reach level 100 in a session and "such things" .... i'm curios to see how many "Level 81" we have then.
I agree  I`m an xbox 360 user and I always play games normally like you`re supposed to,unlike some who within 5 minutes of receiving the game - hack into the database or go looking for mods to enhance their gameplay.I never take any of my characters beyond level 50 though,as I`m not interested in getting every skill up to 100.But good luck to anyone who does - each to their own.

So you like to make off topic discussions and sell it under the guise of it being what the OP originally was talking about? Lol. Funny guy.

The OP was talkin' of a "hard way"....i let you figure out what it could means.Or at least, what it could means for someone.

You have no real argument when it comes to the discussion that this thread is about. It's not there. You're branching out and talking about what you want to talk about again, that has no real bearing on the discussion that the Topic Creator started. In other words, off topic. You calling other people children is laughable at best and idiotic at worst.

What the topic creator thinks ? you pretend to speak for him ? pathetic-and offensive - i dare to say. Let him express his opinion please -if he want of course.

Too funny. He's already expressed his opinion and I was relaying the information because I have something called reading comprehension. It's not really my fault if it's something you lack. And that you do.

everyone here have the right to express his opinion. Of course it could be difficult for me and for those who play the game "normally=without cheating". Not all have thousands of hours to spend on a videogame,so yes, reach the level 81 ITS very difficult to achieve in my opinion

Like I said, it's only difficult for you. It's fairly easy to do so without using mods or cheats as described in the original post. Extremely easy. If anything, you could argue that it's somewhat time consuming. Still not that much in the grand scheme of things. I mean I can see why YOU would consider it difficult, but I'm going to take an educated guess and say that not many others do. Something being time consuming hardly equates to something being difficult.

Thank you for your suggestion,"new self-proclaimed moderator" :bunny: but my statements were on topic -sadly for you.

Not really. You continuously disregard the thread's main topic and try to mold it into your own little piece of subjective bias while selling it under the guise of it being the original topic.

There are Pm if you have something "personal" to say - or the ignore function for the record if you "don't like" what you read and don't have arguments to discuss further on topic - just a suggestion in good faith.

Take your own advice and use those functions. In fact, why don't you use the new thread function to talk about things you want to talk about instead of littering up this thread. In any case, I don't care for your good faith.

It's ironic that you've been calling other people children yet you communicate and write worse than a 5th grader. Funny stuff.
