What else is more important? What else have I waited 5 years for and will take 100's of hours of my time and fill it with joy?

I don't begrudge people enjoying sports (even though I don't care about most sports in the least). This is just like that, like staying up until 2am just to watch the World Cup live, or agonizing over my fantasy football league, or something. Like the Olympics, this only comes around every few years; I don't see anything wrong with celebrating among like minded people about something I enjoy. I'm not even that excited. I'll probably go to sleep after an hour or so when I get back from picking it up at midnight. BUT, I think there is something meaningful about sharing that experience with others, be it with friends or on an internet forum (both in my case).

Hey, its been a long first semester of college, its the weekend before finals. I've got my favorite tin of chew, some vodka and a nice long weekend without any studying or homework. So yeah its just a game, a game I have been looking forward to for close to a year, because The Elder Scrolls is my favorite franchise. Thankfully I have been able to make an even out of this because I am in need of some R & R. Therefore for the first 3 days of the games release it is more than a game, after that I'm sure I'll spend many more hours with it. Besides whats the harm to you if people are so excited for something that will make them happy.
