I mean, before Skyrim's release, Todd said that they would have fewer expansions than FO3, but they would be bigger. So we thought "great, we get maybe 3 SI sized expansion packs" okay, well, Dawnguard came out. Well, I have not gotten around to playing it yet, but from what I understand, it is bigger than FO3 expansions, but no where near as big as SI. OK, so it was a little disappointing, but they still had 2 more chances to make memorable DLC? Right, right?
Then Hearthfire was announced.
Seriously, not only does this have less content than FO3 expansions, but it shouldn't even be considered an expansion in the first place. It should have been something miscellaneous added with a new area and quests like the ability to change your face in DG. Bethesda made backwards progress, as this is going to become Skyrim's horse armor.
Who said it was a full on expansion? As I recall it, Bethesda said they would be making several large expansions with some smaller, inbetween stuff.
