Anyone go no helmet? What difficulty?

Post » Wed Jun 13, 2012 12:15 am

I am struggling with it on expert - I had to turn it down from master. Most enemies are fine, but at level 49, I run into some bad asses.

How about you? No helmet? What level? What difficulty? What class?

I am an Assassin and I only put my hood on when battling. But I use a mod that changes armor ratings for the DB armor so I am at Adept difficulty.

Yeah, all adepts. Anyone pull it off on expert or master? I must admit, I had to turn down to expert.

Now that's hardcoe. Do you use illusion so you only have to fight one enemy at a time?

My archer is wearing the helmet/face cover from the Dark Brotherhood. Reason is it adds + 20% archery damage increase.

Note: Not the normal DB helmet/face cover - this gear is obtained through a quest which sends you into the "Hags End," dungeon, I think it's called, where you find a (dead, of course) ancient assassin from the DB in a small room. His old DB gear has better percentages than the current DB gear.

No, Lydia and occasionally a Summons. Plus Mage Armor = 300 armor, if I think I might get hit. Breton to, so my Magic Resistance is high with enchanted jewrely...

In other words, you exploited the crap out of the game.

Let me re-ask. Does anyone who DOESN'T abuse exploits do this? I let myself wear only Orcish armor but smithed to legendary (without potions or enchants)

I didn't cheat, but yes I fully utilized the alchemy/enchant/smith features. 32% enchant potions and 130% smithing potions with the anchient knowledge ability which is bugged so you can smith even better.

yes, i already know about 3rd and rotating. i'm talking about actually playing the game.

are you telling me that while you're playing the game you are looking at your character from the side while he's walking and not looking where he's going?

in combat, your doing the same thing?

all so you can see your characters face?

None of my characters have ever worn a helmet in any Elder Scrolls game. Default difficulty.

Using Bound Bow and Companions/Summons is not exploiting... so *raises hand*

So you do this on expert or master without exploiting smithing, alchemy, or enchant?

I have a dual wielder who runs around with weapons that have absorb health and stamina enchants, she could wear the prison clothes and still be viable on Master.

I play the game in third person the majority of the time. I think your just nit-picking! My character has lovely hair and I like to be able to see it. Besides an icky helmet would ruin that :(

Haha awesome. I doubt you could get close to upper level mages though on master with just prison clothes - unless you were a Breton and had the Lord Stone.

Master, and I’ve used alchemy and enchanting naturally in the game....
