I haven't heard anything yet either. I wouldn't worry. If JS personally has to sign several thousand copies it is going to take some time and a fair bit of ink.

Ya I thought that would be it, I am just annoyed more than worried due to the fact that I don't know when it is going to ship and worse yet they didn't tell me what type of shipping service they use, is it going to be here in like 1-3 days or 5-15 days? I have no idea where they are located at either

I think they should have atleast stated someplace before you order how long their delivery takes on average

I'm just angry that the OST wasn't in .mp3 format in the game's installation directory like Morrowind's and Oblivion's were.

I guess I could just get them with a .bsa extractor, but it's a nuisance.

Or, you can do something called "Support the Artist" and give the musicians the money they deserve. When the sound files are not available for you to use, then it is a clear sign they did not mean for you to have it for free with the game.

I already paid $60 for Skyrim. Now where's the soundtrack that's, you know, included in the game files? Why should I pay extra for a set of CDs that just has the same files I already bought separated from the other game files?

But the fact remains, the music files ARE NOT separate in the game files like I stated earlier. By trying to extract them you are breaking your terms of use. This goes far beyond customizing INI files for game play optimization this is flat out stealing.

Because Beth is getting NO MONEY for this OST, the maker of the music IS! Support him and don't steal!

Would u like it if you made amazing music that everyone listens to in game or out of the game on a disc but half the world or even just one person went out and stole that from you? Thus you not getting the payment you deserve even from ONE person??

Hell imo he should be charging more! This is a steal for this music for only $40

Gah my whole post has to be redone. I agree. Jeremy SOule really did an amazing job. This in my honest opinion is his most epic work yet. I am usually the type to rip stuff off. I'll be honest. However this DESERVES payment. It was a hard amazing amount of work. 4 13-14 track cds. Signed by him. Made by a true artist in his craft. He has earned my money. He deserves my money. I will not rip off this man for such true genius as this. Now to askt he same question as earlier. has anyone YET to recieve their soundtrack. I am very worried too. I fear that someone sensed the aura of epicness from the box...and stole my cds mid transit. I am too broke to buy again got no response from directsong and I really WANT the music. I just fear the worst. they have no phone number to call (i tried the one emailed to me) andno service...sigh. {censored} postal service {censored} {censored}{censored} it! {censored}! :P OH well....their is the next day....and the next...not sunday...but maybe monday. Well the Direct Song site has a FAQ which will direct you to a Online Helpdesk where you can submit a question ticket, I did that and hoping to get a response. I don't think its a scam but it would be nice to get some idea when it will ship/arrive at my place

Yes. I did the same but thats not exactly contact info. I think, no offense to the soule brothers, they are a bit afraid of any whiplash or maybe they are just too busy to handle it but i really think they could expand their site so much better if they did that..heck maybe even involve all othe rgame soundtrack. woops my call to leave just happened later guys ill be by hoping someone posts they got it yet sometimes soon

I just ordered the soundtrack last night. I'm not worried. It ships when it ships. And of course it will ship! Bethesda featured this on their blog! ... "In other news, Bethesda had sent loyal customers to Direct Song to purchase the Skyrim soundtrack, only to have those loyal customers ripped off and never receive the product they paid for! Shame on Bethesda!" :shakehead: Come on. That is just silly!

I'm not saying its a scam, if $34 of your money was taken by a site you've never used before and you never hear back a week after you ordered the product wouldn't that miff you a bit? I know its not a scam but I would like to know when I will get it, I might be gone for a week during, or other factors

It might be helpful to give consideration to the fact, that up until now, DirectSongs did not handle a physical product, all sales were mp3 files download links sent via response emails. They probably haven't geared up for a physical product, given that the OST announcement came so late. I've bought the soundtrack to Oblivion through them , and they delivered, no problem. A physical disc product will take them a little longer I'm sure. I for one am glad we are getting true CD quality this time, it should surpass what we hear in the game as it is not compressed! Really looking forward to cruising through the wilds in my car listening to this

Hmm , well maybe I'll start hurriedly checking all windows especially the moon roof once "The Sons of Skyrim" kicks in. Them dragons love doing strafing runs on things scurrying about land side....

I have every confidence DirectSong will deliver on their product, what worries me is the lack of communication. I was having trouble creating an account on their site, so I submitted a ticket last week and still haven't heard back from that. Also haven't received a message about the product shipping or approximately when it will ship.

I believe it's a staffing issue, not a trust issue. They simply don't have the infrastructure in place to handle any substantial volume of customer inquiries, which in itself is a bit concerning...

Oh well, just looking forward to that gorgeous LOSSLESS Skyrim soundtrack goodness to show up on my doorstep. The quality of the CD tracks will completely blow away the highly compressed files from the game. for me it will almost be like hearing it for the first time all over again.

Edit: For those of you who seem to think you also bought the soundtrack when you bought the game... that's insulting to the composer and sound designer, it really is. Movies have music that plays during the movie. When you by a movie on disc or digital download, do you think you also bought the soundtrack for the movie? Of course not... the only difference here is that because of the very nature of computer games the music files must be included separately so they can be layered on top of the game experience, which means if people really want to they can extract the files. But by buying Skyrim, in no way, shape or form did you also buy the soundtrack. This is a 4 disc set of studio quality tracks, the masterwork of Jeremy and Julian, and autographed! Stop being cheap and support the artist if you enjoy it.
