For those of you in the high-end gaming PC scene, you know of [H]ard OCP.

Here is his "review" of Crysis 2

We have played them all! Farcry, Crysis, and now Crysis 2. If you were relying on Crytek to stress your new AMD or NVIDIA GPUs, well, you will likely have to wait another 4 years, or never probably. Crysis 2 graphics svck. Yes the graphics svck and you all know why. Crytek sold us out for a bunch of pvssy 360 gamers. Gameplay is about as exciting and motivating as pulling a scab off your dog's scrotum. Open gameplay? Yeah right. Challenging? Not in the least. Crysis 2 goes into the "Never Finished" game bin with Daikatana. Come to think of it, Daikatana had better multi-player.


I don't often gripe about game devs selling out, but Crytek sure did. Crytek is not about innovative gameplay and astounding graphics any more. Crytek is about ripping me off for $60. I think Crytek would have gotten better press if it had not of even released its water-downed and anemic PC version of this "game." I hope Cevat Yerli chokes on this giant flaccid floppy pencs of a game, while he is pulling out his overstuffed-wallet. Yeah, I just said that, and I meant it.


At least my 10 year old son thinks it is awesome. Wish he would give me the $60 back. Crysis 2 will be a great buy....when it hits the $2.99 price point on Steam.

He talks about Crysis 2 graphics like he was looking at Homefront.... Crysis 2 by no stretch of the imagination looks bad. It's still a very impressive looking game.

Wow, amazing read.

The only kids that would say this is 'an amazing game' clearly have not indulged themselves with Crysis 1. When it came out, C1 was a landmark game...and still is. Crysis 2 is just a watered down crap fest of Crysis 1.

Too many shortcomings that make the game not worthwhile. Obviously, if you haven't experienced the impact Crysis 1 had, then you're gonna marvel over Crysis 2.

While Kyle (I'm a member of [H]ardForum, the forum side of [H]ardOCP) does indeed know quite a bit about PC *hardware*, his opinion on PC *gaming* does not match mine.

He is very much a PC gaming elitist - however, he doesn't hide that fact. He loathes, as a rule, multiplatform titles. (He would have preferred that Crysis 2 not release for PC *at all* as opposed to it being multiplatform.)

Most of the haters that have been whacking Crysis 2 up one side and down the other may feel the same way he does (in fact, I suspect that a lot of them do) - however, they won't be as honest as he is and admit it.

I respect Kyle's opinion a whole lot more than the haters - because of his *honesty*.

And that is *despite* my disagreement with that opinion.

Pretty immature review. Why do so many people get worked up over minicule things. The fact is Crysis 2 is every bit of a stunner that Crysis 1 was (more infact) and gameplay has gotten better as well...but because it doesnt take a $600 video card to run it at 30fps, it means that a company (whose point is to make money) has sold out.
