They aren't going to change anything about it just because of complaints. Wait for modders to take a swing at it.

On the PC, you're not stuck with anything. Find something you don't like? Change it with mods!

PC user here. I love the UI. It's intuitive and far faster than the Oblivion or Morrowind UIs were. Haven't had any problems with it.

There isn't anything to be fixed. The UI is fine as it is.

I was just getting ready to post about this.

PC UI is freaking horrible. Need a way to change spells weapons - shouts and organize inventory in this game. I haven't played or seen the console versions but the PC UI is just clunky and pain crappy. The game itself is beautiful and I'm really enjoying myself except when I have to change out weapons or even craft in any fashion. CLUNKY CLUNKY CLUNKY.

I have to go to magic effects to see if I have a disease? The only way I found out was everyone I talked to was saying "Do you feel alright? You look terrible."

In Inventory you need a "Crap I want to sell" area that I can't confuse with the stuff I want to keep. Need a Crafting area to they don't clutter up the rest of my inventory.

And another thing - after buying two horses that lasted less than 5 minutes apiece, what the hell is the point of that?

It sounds like I'm coming down on the game a lot, but I don't mean to. It just seems to me these are glaring areas that could have had more thought put into them.

When is it going to be fixed?

"Fix" implies "broken".
"Doesn't suit my preferences" != broken.

So the likelihood of Bethesda fixing it are pretty much 0.

I seem to remember the community pumping out UI mods for Oblivion fairly quickly though. We'll just have to wait and see.

The UI terrible with 0 effort to make it work on a mouse and keyboard. It's the console UI.
When will this be fixed? Please Bethesda answer and fix please. I payed for your game. Fix please.

http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1267229-modding-the-gui/ Darn and others are looking into it, but it'll take time since the UI is built completely differently from previous games.

Once I figured out how to assign hotkeys, it's been much more bearable.

Some modders, notably, DarN are already cracking open the interface.bsa files and having a go at changing up the interface. I've been following their discussions very closely because I desperately want a less-consolized interface, and it seems they've made some progress (font and font size changes, etc) but nothing major.

It'll be a bit of time before we see any major overhauls out, much to my dismay :l

This isn't going to go anywhere if everyone just keeps saying
"Its terrible!"
"No its not!"

I really want a UI mod, but I hope that whoever makes it keeps the aesthetic style of the current UI intact. I really love the design, but it's just awful to use.

Te UI is [censored], it breaks gameplay, as you are to switch weapon olbiged to enter menu and switch weaponry in the menu in the middle of the fight. Bethesda didn teven care to put hotkeys like in Morrowind for example, they did freaking nothing.

What bethesda seem to want is someone who never switch weapon or spell, so much for the play it as you want...

And i fear whar we want changed may be so hard coded it won t be possible.

I agree that it is intuitive...

It's intuitive and fast which I like, I just don't appreciate how I can't easily compare items, or how the favorites menu organizes by name only rather than item type THEN name.

Doesn't work with M+KB? I can access everything I need with Tab, WASD, and E. All within hands reach, and it's fast, too. I really don't see the point behind this whining.

Oh thank god, I was asking in other threads before if anyone knew if DarN was coming back. This is good news.

PC user here.

The UI is working ok for me, mostly. Scroll wheel and click gets most things done, except on occasion when the UI ignores the click or ignores the position of the mouse pointer or when I have the pointer slightly 'off' from where the UI wants it to be. Serviceable is what I'd call it.

My UI complaints:
The inability to see what I am buying or collecting from a container AND the items I already have.
No carry weight when trading/collecting.
The inability ability to access the Perks screen without HAVING to spend your stat points.
No way of seeing the stats of more than one item simultaneously.
Lack of graphical view of several inventory items.
Lack of paper doll.
The perk screen, mostly a waste of space in my opinion, could do with a few tweaks.
The favourites list could do with some tweaks too.

NONE of this should come as a surprise as ALL of these points were mentioned when the UI was first revealed.
