Are you currently happy with Crysis 2?

Post » Thu Jun 02, 2011 11:43 pm

I am happy to say I have never had any major problems in my experience with Crysis 2. The only problem is hackers. Other then that, I'm happy and looking forward to future Crysis titles.

This.

I'm more than satisfied. It was a good break from BC2. I only met a hacker once. I like the story, it was bit better than Crysis 1 IMHO. But, haters gonna hate.

When Crytek releases their next game, probably Crysis 3, I'll just wait for community reviews and decide whether to buy or not. If it's any good, I'll surely get it.

You'll have a long wait..there will be no Crysis 3 for PC. Crytek will soon announce that they will no longer be making any PC games

Thats not true they'll probably release crysis 3 in the next few months they'll throw on dx 8 this time and call it a day charge us 80 dollars for the game and give us more hackers and bugs oh and lets not forget theyll advertise it as having everything but when u actually do go out and get it you'll realize it doesnt have anything it promised.

Voted no, and won't buy the next game....unless they patch C2 to make it at least the PC genuine title Crysis was.

I would prefer they improved it but with what I spent $60 dollars on now, I would be happy with simply a direct copy of all the options, textures etc etc in the original since C2 is so limited and scaled back.

I voted no , Crysis 2 feels so consolized , tiny maps , simplified gameplay , no sandbox and DirectX11 at lunch , bugged as hell , cheaters everywhere and so on. Physics svcks in Crysis 2 , well in fact , there is no physics at all. =P

I voted "No" and "Not get any new release" . Crysis 2 has been like they say around here "Una presa per il c*lo" because when you spend 60 bucks for a game that ends up like this it's not even worth playing it : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JjNj6XimhaA
On my side I'm so disappointed of Crysis 2 that I'm rushing it with all cheats enabled just to say "I beated this crap". Then I'll get rid of it and throw the DVD away.

YES I am happy with crysis 2, i like the multiplayer gameplay. and the single player is good. but this doesn't mean i think the game is perfect. i want to see the blur fixed, i want a bit more destructability and of course DX11. Who knows what DX11 will bring but at least to see crytek try. But the game does look very nice and run well too. funny though how because of the console affect so far this makes crysis 1 appreciated more so.

No.
i stopped playing once they locked out the cvars, that was the last kick in the teeth. I had it running nicely and now stuck with horrible blur and no aa.
never mind the multiplayer issues.

But the biggest issue is they way crytek just seems to ignore the community, People can handle the problems if there is communication.

Will Crysis 2 impact on your future buys from Crytek?
Of course a company's past behavior will affect what I anticipate from the company.

Do you plan on supporting Crytek next releases?
Yes, but it will not be because Crysis 1 was an awesome, breathtaking game, but rather despite the fact the Crysis 2 was a passable, mediocre experience that is a great example of how consoles are holding back the PC gaming industry, and the pitfall of the lack of testing / bug fixing before final release.
Although the former may be remedied by the upcoming DX11 patch, I simply cannot see why the multiplayer login issues still have not been addressed, other than the possibility that PC multiplayer was simply an afterthought, which is an even bigger disappointment coming from a Crytek product.
The console centric menu does not help either.

Are you currently satisfied with crysis 2?
No, but will buy new releases

I′m not happy with it. I can′t stand the lobby, it just kills the game for me.
But I will proabably buy future games. Can′t tell for sure though.

to be honest crysis 2 felt like a slap in the face. mere patches cant undo consolitis. i dont like pc games dumbed down for consoles. if i wanted consolitis crysis, i'd play it on consoles get it crytek?

yes i would buy a crysis game next time... after reading reviews, youtube videos, forums and myself playing the game, verifying consolitis is not present and also liking it. only then will i buy it.

I think to just "test" future CrEAtek pruducts from torrents before going to shop. That can solve any potential problems. At the moment company totally lost any trust for me so no buying without preview in future
And no, i'm not going to buy these freaking 4 maps. I can say more - i'll stop playing the game after map pack will be able for buying for some period of time, probably forever. I found this act as disrespect to customers

This game is already dead

-There are currently almost 2000 more players on Tuungle playing the LEAK for Crysis 2, let alone the official Crysis 2 game.

-I rarely see even 400 gamers online at a time in Crysis 2's server browser.

-I go to a college where I know at LEAST fifty students who decided not to buy this game after seeing all the problems it had via the gamesas forums. What did they do? They pirated this game.

This game died. CryTek deserves it. At this rate, if people wanted to launch a negative ad campaign against CryTek, I'd donate $1000 to it instantly.

I'd rather spend my 10$ in that campaign that in that stupid DLC.

Greed has limits and CrEAtek has surpassed it by long.

SHAME ON YOU, CRYTEK.

I likely won't be buying another Crytek game. They fooled me once, and I ended up paying $60 for a console port. I won't do it again.

I would need some VERY good proof that the next Crysis is a good PC game before I even think about buying it. And guess what:

Being ignored, deceived, and downright lied to will not cut it.

this is the most buggy unfinished piece of a game I have ever played.

Take a quick look at this forum the thread for improvements and bugs is currently 75 pages long with over 700 posts not to mention the 235 page thread of pc fixes and info, 116 pages of people having trouble with multi -gpu setups, 20 pages of people with trouble of the game crashing to desktop, 94 pages of people whose promo code wont work, 45 pages of those having trouble with it not saving unlocks and xp, 19 pages of people having trouble with their multiplayer key not being saved and 149 pages of people who cant login to their crysis accounts...and searching for the phrase "not work" in the forum returns over 5000 results and the game has only recently come out.

Personally I think pc customers should be entitled to a refund for the shoddy barely working piece of a game that is crysis 2.

This really just sums it right up......not to mention the game we were blown away by--or at least saw the potential for supremacy, "Crysis and Wars", is now stripped down and forgettable.

To be fair single player is acceptable however multiplayer is a joke - it is full of hackers and the xp and unlock system doesn't work at all and I have had nothing but problems with it. It took me a week before I was able to login and get playing multiplayer

A lot of people bash the game for all the bugs, and there are quite a few. All in all, however, that is the style game development has taken. with the ability to do online updates/patches they can release them faster with less quality control. I work for a software company (not a game company) and of course your software will have bugs, its just not possible to get them all. what makes a good piece of software is 1. the magnitude of the bugs, 2. the ease at which they can be fixed (well written code) and 3. the team supporting it.

Overall the company has been pretty fast to respond to issues and has patched, what, 3 times now. That is not an awful release schedule considering how new the game is. In the end i would say its a fun game and i do enjoy the multi-player content. The endless hacking has removed some of my enjoyment but moving servers is not all the hard either. Coming from Black Ops though there is a lot of room for improvement on their multi-player experience and in its ease of use from the console standpoint.

I would give the game a 7/10

Agreed on the speed of the delivery of the patches, BUT
the patches they delivered fix up old problems, and cause new ones.
The MP Orbital Strike lag is just unforgivable. The Votekick is a rush job that ppl do not know how to use (there is a lot of ppl that just do not know how to use those aspects in a game).
Not to say that is that bad, because other gamers tried and tried to votekick me for cheating just because
of a high K/D ratio - just my SKILL. And have been talking with some skilled ppl out there, same thing.

Just dont get it, the money is flowing in to their pocket, and they are giving us rush jobs.

They can do better than that, and you cant say "Ah we need more time".
