Are your real life friends excitied about FO:NV?

Post » Mon Dec 13, 2010 2:37 pm

A couple of workmates, but that's it. I have to come on here to talk Fallout, as nobody else knows what it is.

I've got only one friend (mah best one, actually) that cares about video games. And he's waiting for NV, but he's not crazy about it (like I am)

I have about 5 friends really looking forward to it all of whom are either teenagers or in their 20's. The ladies from the quilting club however think video games consist of bejeweled and spider solitaire.

Being the extremely unsocial person that I am, I don't exactly have a legion of friends, but the two that I count as real friends so to speak, are both somewhat interested in Fallout. One of them really (and I mean really) want both F3 and NV, but he doesn't have a computer good enough to run them, and he doesn't really want to buy them for his 360 yet either. The other one has played F3 and is probably about as excited for NV as me: not extremely much. We both want it, but we're gonna wait like a month or two to buy it.

Bejeweled ROCKS. That is all.

Also I once wiped a raid in WoW because I was playing the Bejeweled addon while waiting for buffs and mana up, accidentally hit auto run (bound to my third mouse button) and ran straight into Gruul. Woops.

I think most of my friends are tired of hearing about Fallout by now... I've loaned/gifted copies of Fallout games to buddies in the past, and none of them seem very interested... That being said, I'm prolly the most techie outta my social circle, most of them are more interested in golf or fishing or NASCAR (shudder)... I have a young nephew (18) that will play just about anything with me, and he'll be interested when I give him a copy for XMAS.

real life friends? WTF are they?

Nah, none of my friends are into games, they think computers are for word processing and e-mail only, and consoles are for the kids and/or grandkids lol

This is exactly what's going on with me. My best friend and youtube partner (the guy who got me into FO in the first place  ) is very interested and excited but nowhere near as much as me. I know one guy who is the bossiest most full of himself person I ever met and he is the self proclaimed "Fallout King" yet I could whip him at trivia and he hardly knows about the originals and doesn't play them. ( *sarcasm* some Fallout king) I don't have many friends at all but the ones I have aren't the slightest bit interested despise the preaching I have done for this game.

I really need to get some better friends :sadvaultboy:

(or some friends at all for that matter)

Some of my friends are into gaming and most didn't like FO3 (they thought it was too boring) but I have one that also wasted many hours of his life on FO3 and we're both eagerly awaiting FNV with baited breath.

I don't know anyone who has even heard of this game or even owns a PS3, XBOX, or PC. That would be cool if I did so I could talk about it. I guess that's why I'm here. I'm not what you would call a gamer, but I love Fallout.

If I had real life friends, would I be here? :sadvaultboy:

Spoiler
Ha! I'm just kidding. Yes, one of my friends is just as excited as I am and we're currently trading old games to kill time until it comes out. I just beat every questline in his copy of Oblivion and he's playing through Red Dead Redemption as I type this.

I think that at least 5 of my friends are interested and 4 of them are getting it for sure. Just about all of my friends are into gaming.

its funny, but even though the game is coming out soon, no one i know even mentions it. infact, the most game related thing one of my friends have mentioned is how awsome he thinks halo reach is... i live in a hickish part of WA anyway, so no surprise there.

Nope, I'm the only one who's excited. My friend never played Fallout 3 even though he's expressed interest. But to be honest it's probably best he didn't get Vegas, he doesn't have much free time and this game is gonna be a soul svcker.

Good thing I don't need a soul.
