Are your real life friends excitied about FO:NV?

Post » Mon Dec 13, 2010 6:24 am

Do you have any real life friends that know about Fallout and are excited about Fallout:NV?

Most of friends aren’t really that into gaming so this forum is one place I can discuss this nerdy stuff. My friends would probably think I was even weirder if they knew I was on some forum speculating about a game that has yet to be released.

So what’s your story?

Of all my IRL friends, only two are interested in New Vegas, and only one is actually getting it.

I have one friend who really liked Fallout 3 too, but he's not going to buy new vegas. Why? Its the same game, he feels like its not worth the money because they haven't changed anything. He's too excited for Portal 2. Oh, the irony. Apparently the leap from Portal 1 to 2 is that much different from 3 to New Vegas. Hes a techie though so its mostly about the graphics.

most of my friends are avid gamers, but they hate the Fallout Franchise because there is apparently too much walking, i try to explain it to them and they just say the walking is too boring.

Of my gamer 'friends' (they're clan mates and a good lot but I still have some issues with calling them friends, they're just fun guys to mess around with I guess) only a couple are going to get NV. One of them is super stoked about it but not as interested as me.

So no not really, none of my friends are gamers, at all.

Don't say that you got us bro! :tops: I have a few friends that were big fans of Fallout 3 and are really looking forward to New Vegas but a majority of my pals at school aren't really the gaming types of folks.

Not here Brother, you're part of this clan. To quote Shakespeare:

From this day to the ending of the world,
But we in it shall be remembered-
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother

All of my friends are into cod alot. Im an avid cod fahn-boy aswell but im also an avid fallout fahn-boy ever since the first time i escaped that hectic vault and walked out into the wasteland. As for my friends, they relly cant wrap their head around the whole idea of Fallout with all the individual work regarding finding out what ur actully sopposed to do, and i dont blame them. My first couple times i played the game i was lost, but then i eventully caught on. But hey, it's their loss right?

PM to all moderators - Im calling myself a Fahn-Boy.

I wouldn't say the one friend I have who will play the game just to beat it and basicly be done with it is someone who cares about the game like a lot of us do per say . . But yea I have one friend who will play it sure.

Yea some of my friends are into basicly just COD & the only RPG they get themselves into is a MMO.

Same here about the preaching about Fallout I don't know why but it turns me into some kind of blubbering nerd when I try to describe my love for Fallout to the non-believers.

Its funny because most people don't think I'm the type who plays video games, they usually think I play football or something I don't even like/play football. :P

I have one other person that I truly consider a friend who is a fan of Fallout. I have other acquaintances that are only a little bit interested in the series who are getting it though.

my friends have been bashing fallout NV alot recently because the graphics are not much better.

i try to preach to them. but its in vain. thats why he decided to get COD Black Ops instead of new vegas. they also dont like the walking and the fact they play music from the 50s

i need better friends
