Armored troll is worthless

Seriously, if you going to make us spend 500 gold for a pet at least make it last more than 2 hits.

Why you made a melee character with so few hit points is beyond me and is just plain stupid.

I thought that the armoured troll was quite tough.

Saved my life on more than one occasion, and I still have one tagging along now.

Yeah the my first frost armored troll is still with me, I might heal him occasionally but he never loses that much health he never went below half for me. And he kills things so easily too and I play on expert or master

biggest thing I have against it is its movement, seems to have trouble following me. but otherwise I like it

Maybe has something to do with your level, like if your level 40+ when you receive the armored troll he should be higher level then a frost troll.... I would hope?

For example, Odhaving is worthless unless you complete The Fallen at level 36. He does not level scale with your character unfortunately, he is essentially a Level 50 Ancient Dragon at level 36. Humanoid companions do level scale, the armored troll is probably optimal at level 40+ if I had to make a guess

My troll has saved my life alot to be honest. The 2nd troll that is. I watched as my first troll was battered by a giant.

What level are you? I'm pretty sure they cap at level 40 or 50, which might be why they svck for you.

I have a hard time killing my own Armored Trolls at level 36, and they take care of pretty much everything for me, I've never had one die or even make it to half health. Also, I play on Master.

You can't take him anyway, Trolls and Dogs share the same slot.

Ahh I wondered if that would be the case HAha I just took it into the bee and barb for a pint. Funny how they dont like my rune shield but say nothing about me having a huge slobbering troll.

Your troll's stats scale up with difficulty too though. The only thing that I don't like about it is constantly making trips back to Dawnstar castle to rehire one...and Serana occasionally goes crazy and starts attacking my pooch...

By the time my troll catches up to me and Serana, everyone is dead already. The one or two times they're present during combat, they just drop dead.

I stopped buying trolls a long time ago. But from my experience. The armored greenish troll & frost troll would never resort to violence. Atleast mine didn't. If anything, it would stay in 1 spot and just pout at the enemy. Then die after getting hit several times. Def a wasted asset for low level players who are tight on gold. Plus there no good in tight corridors like forts, ruins or caves. I just stick to companions, never tried a dog. Is that any good?

i said the same thing during the beta, they're only good at lower levels and difficulty but the higher you go the weaker they are.

I did a test during beta where i brought an armored troll to labrynthian to fight a frost troll in single combat...the frost troll killed him easily and i shook my head.
The "armor" they wear is just an image and doesn't provide the trolls with any armor rating.

No idea what you are talking about, my Armored Troll beats dragon priests and deathlords into the ground.

Odd how there are both extremes. Either it's getting killed in two hits, or it's destroying everything.

Hes honestly no different from every other non-essential melee follower. AI is pretty damn dumb unfortunately.

well i pretty much kill everything before the troll or serena get to the enimies anyways, but my troll did die fighting a dragon, i believe the fire breath put it down pretty quickly. I didn't really need the extra companion, i just thought it looked cool following me around

I've gone through 7 Armored Trolls already....they just svck so much. Plus Every time I run to to a place my troll is like 150 feet behind me.I pretty much buy them just for the hell of it every time I visit Dawngaurd Castle, cause they die in like the first 15 minutes of buying them....( Level 67 BTW)

Play on Master difficulty then buy them so they'll scale up to their strongest type.
