Arrows are killing me in one hit!

I think you should try Vanilla Skyrim, your mods seems to mess up your game.
I'd rather blow up my computer before going to Vanilla Skyrim.

I'm playing on the difficulty before Expert... so it's like Adept or something. I have 100 armour rating, modded armour.

You need at least 500. At level 81 your armour rating should be over 1000 normally reagrdless of what armour you wear.

200 hitpoint, 400 armor class at level 66 or 67, and i never get oneshotted on adept.

Look like his gameplay mod are messing it. How can we question the balance in the game after modding it with "arrow damage mod".

At high levels, a simple Bandit marauder with orc or elven arrows can do one hit kills. The bandits (and other foes as well) are able to do damage that seems to defy the formulas used to calculate the damage done by players. ...level scaling...
They learned to make enemies dangerous, in Morrowind nothing was able to kill you at level 25 and you killed everything in a couple of hits.
They changed this in Oblivion enemies was a bit more dangerous but as you and enemies got load of health at high level making fights long, drawn out but not dangerous as the enemies did to little damage.
Fallout 3, a bit better but still just the rocked launcher and exploding cars was really dangerous.
Broken steel and they broke the enemy do as much damage as you would do with their gear rule. Worked well as it was brutal hard.
If the bandits running around in fur armor had followed the same rule as the player they had been killed off by the mudcrabs.

Where do you get those? I must have.

100 AR? Gawd, put some clothes on! I'm a level 74 Battlemage with an AR of 900 and arrows just bounce off me on expert.

Methinks you need to fiddle around with Smithing.

How...are you level 81 with 100 armor?

this seems quite trollish although i highly doubt it

You need more armor.

I'm level 81. I have 100 in all skills, and I have all perks. :drag:

I've got a rating of 300 at lvl 43, and I think it was at 100 by my 20s. My boots probably have a higher rating than your entire set. o.o Sounds like you powerleveled/modded your stats without upgrading your armor to match the enemies scaling to your level. You should use that 100 in smithing to make yourself some decent armor.

Different NPC's have different bows, and use poisoned arrows ;) I am quite sure they do, because sometimes with my character I have almost no damage... and sometimes one arrow takes a huge leap out of my health bar. The same time, I feel I can do just as much damage with my own little precious glass bow. With the right arrows and the right poison, I am a real danger. So I don't feel a lack of balance. Sometimes you have to learn the hard way, when you encounter an enemy with dangerous arrows.

Arrows are killing me in one hit. I now understand why that guard stopped being an adventurer when he took an arrow to the knee.

Anyone else have this issue?

Not an 'issue'. Bows and arrows have been grossly underpowered in previous games. Archers were feared by real people, and rightly so

Since when does armor rating go up because of character level?

If you are 81 and asking this question I guess you consoled your level and skills to max. Why dont you console up some armor and hps?

It doesn't but you should have decent equipment.

This only happens to me with Deathlords wielding Ebony bows & arrows, but they don't one-shot me. IF this is the case, more than likely you've "artificially" pumped your level through Alchemy/Enchant/Smith.

I dont think you can have 1000 AR with just "decent" equipment. It would require exploiting the alchemy/enchanting loop.

I had this happen to my first character. Mage, tons of magic, little health, no armor + deathlord with ebony bow on expert = dead mage in one hit.

Nope. I don't have any modded arrow speed/trajectory. That was on a previous Skyrim, if you've actually read.

I put difficulty on lowest, bandits still causing me trouble with bows (2/3 hit kill). I have low AR because I'm using modded armour that looks pretty cool. I really can't wait for the construction kit to come out so I can edit the AR and stuff. I find if that I duel-wield my Magicka Sabers, I can kill people really quick, so that's my plan. Kill them before they kill me. It's going to be hard in darker areas though (mod makes dark areas in caves pitch black and stuff). I'm going to need my torch in those situations.

Soltuion! Re-started my character and got 500 health instead of 240. Playing on Master, Whiterun Guards don't give me trouble. I doubt bandits will either. The Draugr might be a different story.

Actually it has happened to me too.

The Draugr Deathlord killed me multiple times with one arrow, finally, I got a clear shot up him with a Glass arrow and boom he was a goner.

Just hide, really fast, go passed a wall so the Draugr shoot their arrows, then go back really fast behind the wall before they shoot, once they do and MISS YOU, shoot them when they are "reloading" their arrows into their bows.
