Arrows are killing me in one hit!

I dont think you can have 1000 AR with just "decent" equipment. It would require exploiting the alchemy/enchanting loop.

Bit of vanila Blacksmith Elixir with couple of fortify smithing enchanted gear shoulld get you to 1000 easy. Exploits will get you somewhere near 3000 and the biggest exploit of them all the Restoration potion will probably get you somewhere near infinity.

I'd rather blow up my computer before going to Vanilla Skyrim.

Isn't that just the Dwemer city un-modded?

I haven't had that problem with the arrows tearing me apart Lis...

Arrows are killing me in one hit. I now understand why that guard stopped being an adventurer when he took an arrow to the knee.

Anyone else have this issue?

Get a shield and perk it until arrows can't penetrate and do damage to you. You just have to get the biggest shield there is and keep it up towards the bowmen

Dont worry, I am having this exact same problem, and I have 300 health, 560 armor rating, and I went into a dungeon yesterday, BAM, dead, its not like the draugr were sneaking or anything, I was shooting some inceration spells at them, I hit them with 3, they were dead, and the arrow he shot BEFORE he died hit , and I go flying against a wall...seriously The arrows are a bit ridiculous as of late, I seriously think its an issue with the last update. I mean, if draugr deathlords hit me with ebony greatswords and do less damage than an arrow, i think something is wrong.

Not an 'issue'. Bows and arrows have been grossly underpowered in previous games. Archers were feared by real people, and rightly so
Yes, but an arrow would not hurt as much as a giant war hammer smashing down on you. Unless it hit you in the throat, thats it.
