Arrows are killing me in one hit!

Post » Fri Jun 08, 2012 1:44 pm

Arrows are killing me in one hit. I now understand why that guard stopped being an adventurer when he took an arrow to the knee.

Anyone else have this issue?

That's impossible. There are like 4 Draugr lined up on top of a wall. I mean I could just toggle god mode and all, but that's just no fun.

Where do you get those? I must have.

I'm playing on the difficulty before Expert... so it's like Adept or something. I have 100 armour rating, modded armour.

I can one shot some bandits and draugur with an Imperial Bow and ancient Nord arrows with a 2x sneak attack. But taking enough to kill me in one hit? Never happened.

Yeah but what level are you? It depends since enemies scale with you, 100 AR would be okay at lower levels, but not at higher levels. Also, some companions/conjuration can help take the heat off of you.

I'm level 81. I have 100 in all skills, and I have all perks. :drag:

Why do you only have 100 AR at level 81?

How much health do you have?

Edit: All perks? Did you cheat to add them? Why not just cheat to add more health or armor then?

Are you serious? You're level 81 with only 100 AR? You should have like, all 567 AR by now. Did you use an exploit (oghma infiniumperhaps) to get to level 81?

I'm on the PC. Also, this is probably not it. A while ago, before I uninstalled the game, I had even less armour and I was the same level as I am now and it took a lot of arrows to kill me (even with modded arrows to be stronger).

Ah, right. I have like 240 health. Could this be the issue?

My level 47 mage has been one-shotted by some Dragur Deathlords weilding Ebony Bows before. That's with having 3/3 in the "Mage Armor" perk combined with Ebonyflesh spells.

Perhaps I was doing wrong? I dunno.

I always use Dragonhide (master level alteration spell) before boss encounters so I avoid getting one-shotted.

At high levels, a simple Bandit marauder with orc or elven arrows can do one hit kills. The bandits (and other foes as well) are able to do damage that seems to defy the formulas used to calculate the damage done by players. ...level scaling... <_<

I think you should try Vanilla Skyrim, your mods seems to mess up your game.

I don't know why you wouldn't have had a problem before. 100 AR and 240 health at level 81 is very, very tiny. Big threats can easily kill you in one hit like that. It should be happening with more than arrows, honestly. I have a level 61 guy almost at the armor cap and I have to keep increasing my health past 400. I think around 500 I'll be pretty good. When I had less than 300 I would encounter guys who could kill me quick. Of course, I could kill them quick too, so the problem wasn't always obvious.
