If AutoMatron is our ideal $10 DLC I'm nervous....

If AutoMatron is our ideal $10 DLC I'm nervous for our future DLC after Far Harbor. We got 3 quests and Robot customization for $10. That's very little compared to past DLCs we had.

We got more than that though.

Install the DLC.

It seems to me that people have widely varying ideas about what "content" is.

Anyway, there are other threads where this issue is being hashed out . . .

It's pretty much on par with Broken Steel or Operation: Anchorage, and by most accounts it exceeded expectations. They never tried to sell us on the questline.

This 10 dollar dlc is like five hours+ and that's more then what most games give us for over $10.

And yet you can buy skin packs for other games for the same price. Automatron sounds pretty good right now.

I thought it was good get to create as many robots as we want and be able to customize them whatever way we want and that you could basically replace settlers with an army of robots is worth it to me

Considering how much having new bots can augment certain parts of the mainquest for the better releasing the dlc at this price was a bargain.

BTW you want to hear a real ripoff? Fable 3 released a 3$ 'DLC' that was nothing more than black, brown, and white dye......

Yeah....

One real dollar per flippin bottle of dye.

So comparing another terrible DLC practice makes this one better?

I've completed the quest in 1 hour. Robot Customization doesn't keep me coming back. This should of been combine with the Wasteland Workshop for $10.

An hour? It took me that long just to go through the last dungeon. Maybe try taking your time?

Greatly disagree. The dlc is perfectly priced for what it gives us. New enemies, new weapons and armor and an entirely new and expansive mechanic that has almost no limitations. Besides certain things being locked behind what parts your robot has it's do what you want and build as many as you want.

So people can't have opinions? Interesting...

I rather they focus on stuff that mods can't give us.

So nothing. Mods can give us almost everything in the games, hell people are still releasing mods that add in new mechanics for Oblivion, Fallout 3, NV and Skyrim to this day. The idea of "Bethesda shouldn't do it because mods can" is so terrible and limits what they want to do on their own.

No I mean interesting story DLC that expands on the universe and lore of Fallout with new locations added.

It really saddens me that some can't see the work they put into this and then give it away at for so little. Maybe it isn't as quest heavy as some people wanted but what it does add instead is a tremendous amount of quality work on their behalf.

Great joke, like that DLC had any interesting story or lore for later games. I rather the Enclave come back as a small joinable faction in a Far Harbor type of DLC than this.

I believe our case is closed.

Automatron was never meant to be a story expansion, I don't know what you were expecting.

There is actually more than we expected. We were told that the Mechanist was making robots, and we could too. We got that, plus new enemies, weapons and armor.
