Best movies you've seen?

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 2:31 am

So recently I just saw a bunch of wonderful films. I saw War Horse, The Help, and an old classic Crocodile Dundee.
I really want to see The Titanic, but my parents are totally against it. I know everything bad that happens in it, but they still won't budge. Grrr!!!

The only movies I can think of that has ever left me literally awe-struck as the credits rolled are The Devil's Rejects and Jacob's Ladder. I should be able to come up with more later.

Shawshank Redemption, The Mummy and Full Metal Jacket are three very good movies. I like MANY more though but there's too many to list. These particular movies are always gonna be on the top tier. I'll watch the other posts and see if I can remember any more movies I love.

Blade Runner
The Godfather
Sanjuro
The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

Classics. Blade Runner is the best sci-fi film.

Some other old films I like:
Tokyo Story - one of the saddest films I've ever seen, even though very little happens
Last Year at Marienbad - a really bizarre exercise in style. Could be interpreted as pretentious

You find b-movie fans everywhere!

I really enjoyed Little Shop, though I saw it on one of those huge public domain DVD collections (you know those?) so the quality was bad. I'm pretty sure that added to the charm, though.

I'm actually planning on watching Toxic Avenger soon, as I've never seen a Troma movie.

Yep, those collections are fun. I watch most of mine on the late night blocks with the running commentary (you know the type ;)).

Man, you don't know what you're missing. Their films are classics. Just need to remember that their films aren't serious. Also, expect to see some cast members you wouldn't expect ;)

Last time I checked, which was about 8 months ago, you could watch quite a few of their films on Hulu.

It certainly has the best soundtrack ever

I don't understand it's brilliance personally and have only gotten through half of it though :(

Maybe one day.........
