Well, I bought Bioshock yesterday and it is the best game I've played, this year. The only games that have me intrigued are Bioshock: Infinite and Dishonoured but neither has a release date.

I'm not illiterate, I just missed (read: ignored) all the "SO FAR!" posts in this thread because 1. I haven't played any games released this year, 2. it's February; using the words "best", "game", "this" and "year" in a thread title shouldn't even be allowed, 3. The Borderlands 2 Doomsday trailer is probably more fun than any of the (few) AAA titles released this year.

I googled it and the only game released this year that looks even remotely interesting is the PC port of Alan Wake.

What games have been released this year that are new? I've not even picked anything new up this year.

One of these days I'm going to create software that replaces your posts with random MLP quotes, pictures of cats, rainbows and unicorns, links to Bobby McFerrin's "Don't worry, be happy" or short, nice messages to the op (for example: "The OP of this thread is a nice person with completely valid opinions. Please, tell me more about how thing-1 is better than thing-2y. xoxo The Tallest")

If its best we have played this year, then my vote goes to kara no shoujo, allthough I hate it too.
It was released in 2011, and I am deciding weither or not is shall be joint first with FNV.

I'd like a copy of that too, please. Well, perhaps with less MLP, but y'know.

You know, that may prove to be quite entertaining.

In my defense I was going to work and didn't have time enough to post an actual reply. So, here goes. The reason I feel that game does not look like fun is because I do not believe the maker of the video did not showcase the game properly. Secondly, Batman doesn't use a gun. Now, while I can entertain that the characters aren't "Batman" and the "Joker" I still stand by my original statement of, 'No, that game does not look fun' the video shows a lot of "bunny hopping" which leads me to believe that I'd be annoyed by the game within the first five minutes. It may be fun for some, but to me, it doesn't look fun at all.

While actually just a re-release of some older games, Metal Gear Solid HD collection has been my favourite game released so far this year.

Fallout New Vegas: Ultimate Edition is the only game I have played (still not finished though) and it might just be the best game I have ever played.

I'm thinking Borderlands 2 or BioShock infinite will be my games of the year this year.

Great minds think alike...

So far, the best game I have so far this year is Soulcalibur V. But the one I want to get my hands on, well it's tricky, it's tricky, it's-

Ok, it's SSX.

On a side note, a family member of mine worked on GCI. I have a beanie with bat ears and eye holes to prove it. In fact, I'm wearing an Office Bat shirt right now. :disguise:

Diablo 3 hasn't come out yet.

Also it's only been three months. Not many games have been released that interest me.

L.A. Noire was sweet. I liked the new system they used to motion capture the facial features and movements. I hope they use it in later games.

I hope they don't. They could spend the resources on actually making a good game and gameplay, instead, then.

Eh, they said that now that the technology is actually developed, they wouldn't have to spend as much on the mocap tech they used. I enjoyed L.A. Noires gameplay and thought it was very good myself.
