No beta has been announced yet. But if I taking CryTek right, there will be a beta for all platforms.

There is now an FAQ up which should answer most of your questions - if you have any more then post them in the comments section, we'll monitor this regularly and provide answers. It is pretty illogical to have so many threads on the same things.

I have a question. I am also participating in a Closed Beta for another game, which I'll keep from naming, however they have an NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) which refrains you from talking, sharing, or filming anything outside of their official beta forum. Will this beta test have the same rules?

1. This is a test, not a beta.
2. Yes there will be other tests, and eventually the beta.
3. To have signed up for it, you need to have signed up in June.
4. We did not receive a key, we just signed up for getting one.
5. We have no idea when we will receive them.
Hopefully this will clear somethings up.

I got a mail about signing up for the test, I sat up late at night to be among the first to register when this site launched, and I believe I was.

If they use activity as the means to distribute keys, i'm pretty much screwed, since I don't really hang out on forums much except for the occasional check for news, and I almost never post myself

you know, if you go into the news section, most of these questions can be answered.. im not understanding why the same questions are being asked over and over.. if you didnt get an email, your not in. this is a xbox 360 TEST not a beta.. xbox only!!! if they feel they should release a beta in the future they will.. no one has gotten a code yet, no one knows when they will be sending them!!
