So this means that patch 1.8 MUST release before the Dragonborn relese date if im thinking correctly. Patch 1.8 has important things needed to play dragonborn i believe!

Yes, they have a month to fix things... if my guess is correct. It's a smart business strategy because if the PS3 and/or PC versions of the DLC aren't ready by Dec. 4th then they probably will soon after that.

Looking in info "Trademark Search", the updated "Redguard", has a similar description as the "Dawnguard".
May have a dlc that takes us on Stros M'kai?

It'll just be a cutscene. Like what we had for Point Lookout.

Mounted combat came within a title update. This is more than a title update.

Cool, that's what I wanted to know.

The update "trademark" was still in March 10, 2011

Maybe it's just been updated for Web-comics

Interesting... there are Web-comings? :D
Also, the only thing labeled "Redguard" I know is the respective adventure game.

Perhaps It's something graphical that the xbox cant handle? Like varlet textures or flow based water? That would be pretty sweet!

Well, there is that little thing of Redguard being an entire race in TES.

You can search on uesp:
Books:The Elder Scrolls Adventures: Redguard: The Origin of Cyrus!
2011, as part of their redesigned elderscrolls.com website, Bethesda made a color copy of the comic available for download as a PDF file.

Except that would be PC only, the PS3 couldn't handle it either.

You are one pessimistic dude, coming to that conclusion of all.

Why? the statement said 'close to new content for PS3 and PC' - therefore, (and I'm reading between the lines here) to me, that means.. 'new' content for the PS3 and PC NOT on the 360 and likewise, content on the 360 (PC just a bit) and content coming to the 360 won't be available on the PS3 and PC (Dragonborn) Hence the 'new' (as in, never seen before) content for PS3/PC gamers.

Either way.. I'm interested to see what they announce and especially interested at how much they'll charge for it.. this little statement, in no way makes up for the silence PS3 gamers have had to endure over the last 5 months.

IDK, the PS3 can handle a lot more than the xbox. If done right I could see it being done.

Not really. The CPU is more advanced than the 360, but the RAM is gimped by being split in half ( the main reason PS3 hasn't gotten the previous DLC yet according to Bethesda ).

The PS3 is the more powerful of the two, but it's not by a large margin.

*Sigh* They would totally trademark that as software content. :ermm:

I get the way you are reading between the lines and I deem it pessimistic. But maybe I am an optimist.

Yes, why wouldn't they considering it's part of a piece of software?

I'm pretty sure they're not talking exclusive content for PS3 AND PC. At least, I can't see Bethesda doing ANYTHING exclusive for PS3 given how much they take from Microsoft in marketing payments. With PC they can always write it off as "Oh, the hardware can't handle it," but with PS3 it's just unlikely. That said, I'd LOVE to see another fixer-upper for the PC version like grass shadows and the HD texture pack. Maybe official in-world (no loading) cities?

IDK, the PS3 can handle a lot more than the xbox. If done right I could see it being done.

The margin between consoles is insignificant. The CPU in the PS3 is better, but games are more bound by GPU (and the 360 GPU uses a more modern architecture). In addition, PS3 handles memory in a way that doesn't give devs the same amount of freedom. PC handles it the same way, but that's solved by having more memory in even a low end PC GPU than an an entire console. At the end of the day they're both boxes of hardware that was considered high end (read: not even the best you could buy) 6-7 years ago.

You don't get the point. Those trademarks we are talking about are about add-on names. So there could be a DLC named "Redguard", of course.
But they would not trademark the name only because the race is in the game.

1. He means new content for platforms themselves. In other words, he is confirming that PS3 players will get the DLC but in a way that wouldn't break their (very likely) deal with Microsoft which forbids them to advertise DLC for any other platform but X360 for a year
2. There is no way that Dragonborn wouldn't come to PC. The whole DLC is a bone to MW fans and most of them are PC players
