Bethesda close to new PS3 and PC DLC

Post » Thu Nov 08, 2012 6:59 pm

I don't think they would make content that would be exclusive to PS3 and PC because that would alienate the XBOX users, just like what the PS3 users are going through now. I know it's just a game but I wouldn't imagine it going over well if XBOX got Dragonborn as an exclusive DLC and PS3/PC got some other DLC exclusive... I think they just mean that Dragonborn is coming to PC too and PS3 is getting all 3 DLC's.

Ha, I just don't see them having the resources to make a decent substantial DLC alternative as a milksop to the other platforms.

Are you sure? I could have sworn it was the first 3.

Either way, that means it's time to let the DLC fly.

http://www.joystiq.com/2011/08/26/skyrim-dlc-packs-heading-to-xbox-360-first/, was reading up on it the day the trailer for dragonborn released.

This - I say proudly and not as a PC user, but as a Skyrim player.

I assume that because no other trademarks were filed that what he meant was just that in the near future all platforms will have all 3 DLC's.

You can have it 2 months after PC and PS3.

Unless it's PS3 or PC exclusive ( i.e. something to make up for all the bullcrap to PS3 users or graphical/technical enhancements the Toybox can't handle ), in which case: deal.

Or you know, like he said:

To be clear, the tweet means there is new content for PS3 and PC users.

Isn't there a Fus Ro Dah trademark still out there? Anyone check to see if this trademark deals with computer software? :teehee:

Ok, when you say new content...

Can you at least tell us the size of it? It isn't going to be like the Mounted Combat "DLC" is it?

As long as I can still get Dragonborn for PC, I'll be happy with whatever.

Fus Ro Dah trademark covers the popular "shout" ingame and in advertisemants used to promote the game. So you don't have Call of Duty characters shouting Fus Ro Dah, for example.

If it's extra content I'm all for it, as long as it's a timed exclusive. If it's a full exclusive that's stupid.

Mounted combat came within a title update. This is more than a title update.

Are you sure? Everyone thought Dragonborn was just to stop other companies from using Dragonborn... I haven't read the trademark so I was just wondering.

Fus Ro Dah would be a strange name for a DLC, let's put it that way

We're not getting into the specifics of what content is being released right now, but we are working on bringing content to PS3 and PC. It'll be content that's not already on those platforms.

Thanks for the answer. Now we have you actually communicating with us, can you at least tell us when we can expect an announcement? Just a ball park figure - days, weeks?

I guess you can't answer the question about any Microsoft exclusivity deal still in place?
