Alright...so i just skimmed through most of these posts. Can someone answer the following questions/

1. Is ps3 getting DLC?
2. Is ps3 getting exclusive DLC?
3. Is ps3 getting Dawnguard and Hearthfire?
4. When is patch 1.8 set to release?
5. Can someone pinch me?

1. Most likely, yes!
2. Pretty sure it's a "No" for this one!
3. Likely, yes!
4. No clue..!
5. Yes!

Doubtful. If that were the case, you'd think that they'd either not confirm a release date at all and just let it be vague as to when it was coming out and what platform or simply wait a week to release the trailer.

I agree that if everything could be revealed by November 12th, then waiting could have been wiser. Still, it's hard for me to believe that Bethesda is going to release exclusive content for PC and PS3. I'm more inclined to believe that they underestimated how angry/shafted PS3/PC players would feel at the prospect of a new time-exclusive DLC.

Edit: going by Gstaff newest replies, yes, non-xbox players are getting dragonborn sooner than what a time exclusive would suggest (January 4th) so YAY! we'll be able to spend a happy Christmas with the new Skyrim content.

It's still in the works for 360 and PS3. No set release date.

Can you tell us whether or not there is an active exclusivity deal with Microsoft? Please?

Haha, they wouldn't be able to say that even if it was true :P

Thanks for the update GStaff, I'm feeling hopeful.

I thought those logos were always there. moot point, so reality is all dlc thus far= ps3 has no current dlc which means possibly they fixed the issues and we'll get the previous two(if we don't it'll be a riot and a half I'm sure) and pc getting updated texture packs.. or some other tools for the ck I'd see as reasonable.

The tweet is actually from @BGS_Devs

I know. I was saying it doesn't make a lot of sense to release that trailer and only confirm a release date for the Xbox 360 and intentionally kick a hornets nest in the forms of the PS3 community (which still hasn't gotten anything) and the PC community (which was under the belief that only the first two DLCs would be timed exclusives) if you guys would only have to wait a week to release the trailer without being bound by any NDAs.

It will be Dawnguard, Hearthfire and Dragonborn... there really isn't anything else it could be.

According to what was said before Skyrim released, Microsoft only gets the "exclusive" bullcrap on the first 3 DLCs. Dragonborn is the 3rd DLC ( the texture pack for PC likely does not count as DLC per the MS contract ), so if Beth has something planned in the pipeline exclusively for PC and/or PS3, there's nothing Microsft can say about it once Dragonborn hits 360.

Personally, I play Skyrim on PC. But I wouldn't have any problem with bethesda giving something special to PS3 users as an apology for screwing them out of everything else.

Why not? We know about the deal, so it's not entirely secret.

First two DLCs is what they said.

Except it was for the first 2 DLCs, not the first 3.

No, first two DLCs is what they said.

Are you sure? I could have sworn it was the first 3.

Either way, that means it's time to let the DLC fly.

As I tweeted already to the announcement, I never, ever doubted of Bethesda and I'm really happy they're making progress and resisting all the hate :)

It could be Dawnguard for PS3 or a Hearthfire-Dawnguard bundle, assuming Hearthfire was easy to port. As for PC getting something exclusive, I can only think of that being the case if it was a mechanic or some such that XBox and PS3 can't handle (this is entirely possible; the hardware on these is already stressed under the loads of most vanilla AAA titles now). Anyways, I am definitely interested in finding out more; if it IS something that takes further advantage of PC capabilities, I am all for that. No, it isn't nice to shaft Xbox or PS3 owners out of a DLC they could run (like if we got a "Solstheim" style DLC in addition to Dragonborn while they didn't), but adding things that their systems can't run for us is fine by me; gaming companies should not have a hard limit on what they can do set by the weakest available platform.

Now Beth, be smart and release a Dragonborn-Dawnguard bundle for the price of only one DLC and you'll regain all the respect you have lost from PS3 users.
