Bethesda, this may be the greatest game ever made.

I can't remember the last time I played a game for eight straight hours. I usually don't even clock eight hours per week.
Loving it.

After finally getting my comp settings right and giving this game some proper time with a fresh character I must say, BEST GAME EVER!

I am in love with this game and I see Skyrim being my new virtual home until TES 6.

I am thoroughly enjoying Skyrim. I have avoided any bugs so far and I can understand the frustration for those that are experiencing them, but I couldn't be happier. All of the recent games that have been coming out just don't hit that "spot" for me, but Skyrim managed to do it and I have had more fun in my 6 hours of play than I have had in most of my games combined. And the best part is that I really haven't done a single thing in 6 hours. How could not accomplishing anything for 6 hours be fun? I have no idea, it just is.

This game has blown me away. The last time a game impressed me this much was WOW in 2004. Oblivion had me hyped, but it didn't live up to what I imagined. This game surpassed most every expectation I've had. I've not felt a part of a real living fantasy world like this before. This is one of the all time best video games ever created.

What svcks is I am a huge Star Wars fan, and was running up the walls in September and October trying to get into the SWTOR beta, and today I got invited but I can't even be bothered to check it out, I can't imagine tearing myself away from this game for a while.

I'm not far enough into it to say it's the best game ever. But the feeling of it has already made me like it more than Morrowind and Oblivion. So it's well on it's way to being the best game I've ever played.

You can say that again.. Only problem so far with me is.. The map and a dragon somehow was dead in the middle of nowhere with a weird dog in it and he wanted to go home... I was like.. This doesn't make sense

I never compared Elder Scrolls to 'Lord of the Rings', but i feel like im actually 'playing' a lotr movie or something. This installment takes the series in a very dramatic, bold direction. Oblivion and Morrowind sometimes never took themselves seriously, because it would be silly to do so from a writing and technical standpoint. Now, with what seems like top-notch story-telling and acting the game can almost pass off as an interactive fantasy movie. I love the new interacting with npcs....you never feel like youre leaving the world to have some weird solo conversation with some bland character.

I've never actually went to a forum to thank a developer team before, but you can really tell the people at bethesda put their heart and soul into this game. Thank you bethesda!!
This is by far the best elder scrolls game to date.

Wait, they actually worked on the game? I thought they just spent the first 2 years making the game, and the rest coming up with lies about whats in it etc.

I loved Oblivion and played it for hundreds of hours, but Skyrim makes Oblivion look like a game for 5-year-olds.

Im sorry Fallout 2 has a special place in my heart

Those were the days where companies actually spoke with the customers and not just tweeted into the ether

Where a developer actually came on to a forum and asked for idea and then even put them into the game

Nothing can match a game in which the developers werent ego driven phatoms not even Skyrim

I've been gaming for 20 years and yea, to me this is the best thing i've ever played. Today I made a one hour journey just to do a secondary quest and just that small travel was incredibly epic and jaw droping.

I agree completely. I can't believe how much I am enjoying it. I literally want to be playing every minute of the day, I didn't even want to go to bed last night because I'd rather be playing, but I had to. The world is incredible, I could explore it forever.

It's a great game - my only complaint are the dragon skeletons. I've got one ruining my immersion as it's stuck above Whiterun's gates. Every time I leave the city, half of it's either sticking out the wall, or it's flapping about outside trying to kill the guards. Other than that, I really have enjoyed everything!

Yeah we know, anything was better in the past...your mummy serving you cookies and milk when playing FO2, your daddy who brought all the tolerance a daddy of a spoiled kid could give...man even the damn computers where better with their 333 Mhz, 64 MB RAM and onboard low class graphical devices...modern times svck, and Bethesda made Skyrim just to annoy you...how dare them not developing Skyrim with a 2d engine, 16 bit sound and a forum where evryone can grant his input, even if it's of low interest^^

It's called selective memory, and is something intrinsic to most humans; we always embellish our memories. This is why witness testimony is so unreliable.

I really think Skyrim's going to become "The Game" for me, and it has all of the elements I've always wanted from a fantasy/roleplay game (and I've only visited Whiterun and Solitude).

It's not just the complete and utter "wow" sensation it gave me when I played it for the first time. That happens every time I start playing it, multiple times per session.
This game just doesn't seem to lose that "new car scent" like the rest of the games I've played recently. The main difference is the hand-made feel. You just get the feeling that this game was made with passion.

And then there's the fact that I've only travelled through a quarter of the map's size. Given how much sheer content there is in the game, even in a small area like Riverwood, the game won't run out on me anytime soon. :tes:
Of course, it's hard to compare Skyrim to some of my all-time favorites like the original Fallout and FO2 because of the nostalgia factor, but Skyrim does indeed have that special feel to it that I haven't felt in a long time.

I can totally relate and set aside time this weekend just for Skyrim. I played about 9 hours yesterday, stayed up late and woke up this morning thinking about...Skyrim. I love this game!
