Anyway, I always put Morrowind - and still do - in that esteem, but Skyrim definitely has the potential to surpass it for me. Pointless thread I guess, except to say thanks for all the hard work, Bethesda!

At the least I put Thief : TDP and TMA, Daggerfall, Fallout 1, 2, and Tactics, Dark Age of Camelot, C&C Generals, BF 2142 and Civ 2 ahead of it.

I have to agree with the positive comments. For me, I am pleasently suprised to see a game which is playble upon install after the latest disasters being released by toher companies

I weep for your poor grasp of the language and your inability to realize that game preferences have little to do with intelligence.
Luckily, your post places you firmly in the "wombat" range of the intelligence scale by my reckoning.
It's an AMAZING game so far. I love it. I'm glad the hardware compatibility issues aren't affecting me (well, aside from an hour long headache of having to copy install files over a network drive since the DVD drive can't read the Skyrim discs - tried two of them - but after that it's been fine).

No, you're right. Skyrim has the potential to surpass Morrowind, it does already, even without mods^^
I'll be the first to admit that nostalgia will creep into any argument on which ES game is best. I started playing with Oblivion, had absolutely no expectations and the game blew me away ended up playing it on console for 2 years( over 200 hours) and then on PC for 2.5 years( again 200+ hours. Then I backtracked to MW and fell in love all over again. This game feels a lot like a Fallout 3/ Morrowind hybrid, which is certainly not a bad thing, it has many things I love and some things I hate but this is the start of a long journey and I am sure that once I start modding and reaching that 40-50 hour benchmark I will fall in love once more. As with anything the change is taking some getting used to but I feel that this game does have the potential to earn a spot in my heart.
