[REL] Better Female Body Replacement

Post » Tue May 22, 2012 9:29 pm

Yes, please do. Prometheus used such high-rez textures that the default "dirt" is accentuated and is overly-nasty.
I don't mind my character being a bit dirty but what I don't like in the default texture (and in ThePal hires texture on which most skin mods seems to be based) are the stains. Mine also uses ThePal base but I tried to soften the stains while retaining dust and dirt:

Here is a comparison of Prometheus Skin with mine in 4K, 2K and 1K version

Linky (No nudity but not entirely safe for work ;) ):

Skin is finished. Now it's even cleaner... :)

Before releasing it, though, I'm going to ask Prometheus permission to release this file.

That's what I actually meant when I said "dirt" (the stains). The skin texture looks fantastic and I await your upload.

BTW, Prometheus implies in this post that he'd have no probs w/ your mod:

I didn't add more dirt I used the same texture dirt of Vanilla to make it match any armor etc , but , any beauty texture that improves the vanilla can be used on my models , ( that's the cool thing ) so if other modders made a beauty skin that fits in the uvmaps of vanilla then you can use as well ... but , is there any out?

Awesome! I'll post some shots (non-nvde) later.

^^ the nvde version on the workshop? Not a chance. The non-nvde, maybe but probably not.

I was happy with the Vanilla Body.
Far better than the Mesh-Junk they did in Oblivion or FO3.

And you, my friend just added the Icing!

Kudos!

On this ?

Your mod is categorized as advlt-oriented, Prometheus. And Steam Workshop is an official site, unlike the Nexus.

This is just a texture. It applies to both the covered and nvde version of the mod. So I don't think it would be a problem to put my MOD on the Workshop. You won't see any 'forbidden zone' unless you also use the uncovered version fo the body. The problem is, I've installed the CK only on a test computer. All my files, tools are on the main PC, still stuck to ver 1.1 of Skyrim as well as all my savegames. I'll probably skip patch 1.4 and wait for a final patch.

The coverd mesh could be placed on the workshop, too. Users wishing to use the nvde version could be redirected to the Nexus

^^ yes, this will be the the default body for all females in the game. To see the body just loot all the clothes from say, a forsworn huntress, and it should look like my screenshots.

I also recommend to install msxyz's skin texture above for better looking skin.

Edit: you just overwrite Prometheus's files w/ the files from msxyz's mod
