There's a follower named Veronica? That make things a bit difficult, since that is the name of one my characters too.

Ah, a Brotherhood member. Not someone my Veronica would hang around with (unless maybe if the BoS is the original, not east coast goody-two-shoes one).

I really don't get you people. You say "pick this or pick that one" while you can have as many companions with you at the same time as you wish. There's even an achievement for that if I recall correctly

Nope, that's just all of them in one playthrough. You can have one humanoid and one non humanoid.

I'll probably wind up recruiting all of the companions because there's a Trophy/Achievement linked to it, but since you can only have 1 follow you at any given time, I'll probably have Boone be my wingman on my first playthrough, which will probably follow the NCR storyline.

Other followers I find particularly interesting are Raul, Veronica and Lily...

Cass is the best companion in this game. because she is the daughter (or granddaughter) of the best companion in the history of fallout. aka- John Cassidy

also she is a shotgun/rifle user. which means she might be as strong as charon

Why everytime I hear the name "Cassidy" I hear "[censored] Cassidy" too? Can't remember how I got this name in my mind.

1. Cass is written by Chris Avellone

2. She is deeply connected to the Fallout Lore and there is a great chance she met the Chosen One.

Chances of her beeing boring 0%. In fact she is probably going to be the best written companion.

I don't know. I will recruit all of them eventually. The minimalistic knowledge that I have about Raul and Cass make them the ones I am most looking forward to.

I will make him a companion only so I can get him killed.

I am sure Cass, Rex, ED-E, and Raul will all last a lot longer then a NCR scrub.

I remember one of the devs mentioning how cool it was to have Boone, because he picked off enemies from afar. Might sound cool, but to me that sounds like he's gonna start running off and shooting at stuff and you have no idea whats going on. Could be annoying.

Although you can get him to defensive or passive or whatever the pet aggressions are.

He's still pretty pimp.

But Cass is going to be epic. Cassidy from F2 was my favourite, and shes a badass cowgirl alcoholic gunslinger chick, aka a female Cassidy.

Boone is more of a stereotype honestly. He's a former soldier whose wife got killed and abandoned his old life after her death? How original.

Also the scribe chick seems cool, although she uses unarmed which is kind of lame. Her voice actress is damn hot too.

your right boone isn't original but i could say the same thing about cass a wild west gunslinger who is an achoholic how orignal see i just turned the tables

Boone is like the ideal follower for the FPS crowd.

The thing is, he kind of bores me, and like Gumpy said, he'll be aggro-ing enemies all the time. Gimme Raul or Cass any day.

cassidy looks like a fun character to wander around with... she's a caravaner so, she's probably got some interesting stories and a tough side... and raul is probably a hoot to hang out with too...

i voted for maybe because, boone might be the best combat character in the game... i found jericho to be a bonafide badass in fallout 3 and i think boone will be cut from a similar mold... but you can't sleep on raul either... he could be the REAL badass

Cass and Veronica because I like the idea of having a girl only team, and Raul because he's voiced by Danny Trejo, and that's just badass. Also, Veronica is voiced by Felicia Day <3

Boone seems pretty boring...I intend on getting all the followers at different points in the game to do their quests if it'll be possible, so we'll see.

I won't know until I take them out and travel with them.

Personality and whether or not they irritate me is how I decide whether or not I keep a companion with me in the game. I'll just have to wait and see what I think after I've tried them all out.
