Do you guys think that Boone is ganna be the coolest follower?
I think so cause he is a ex NCR sniper
He is hardened by war and death
Plus you can get him his special set of NCR Ranger armor.

I bet he steals a lot of kills and picks people off before you even see them.

Uh, I think that Raul the Vaquero Mexican Mechanic ghoul is way more interesting than the oh-so original super-hero soldier Boone. We got Bill from L4D already for that role

lol, i put maybe, i can decide whether to either have raul due to his 50% lower degrade speed, or boone for the fun and mayhem. if i can get me and him with a ranger seqoia and ranger armor, then boone, otherwise, raul.

I voted maybe. I think he'll be very good, but like dogmeat01 said he might pick people off before we see them. I'd rather pick them off myself honestly. He won't be my first companion I go for, but I'll look for him during my later play throughs. He'll probably be great in hardcoe when I'm dying and waiting for the stimpacks to heal and he's sniping everyone in a distance.

Cass is the best companion in this game. because she is the daughter (or granddaughter) of the best companion in the history of fallout. aka- John Cassidy

also she is a shotgun/rifle user. which means she might be as strong as charon

Seriously, no. I think the other followers sound more interesting. Boone sounds like your typical hard soldier type, and I've seen plenty of those considering all of the Space Marine games I've played.

I think it would be absolutely bad ass if you went around with Boone and you both had NCR Ranger armor.

I played as a very sneaky character and the bad npc actions of FO3 made me never get into the companions, if I can tell them to wait somewhere maybe or (there is a passive stance now... right?) then I'll look into it, but I think Boone would be decent, but the BoS scribe allows you to create workbench items anywhere... Raul makes weapons/armor degrade 50% slower, that could be huge depending on your weapons/armor (common vs rare) But unless I'm drawn in I'll be taking the Solo road.

I'm looking forward to Cass. Drinking alcohol and gaining DT for it? Plain. Friggin. Awesome.

If the BoS scribe companion lets you join the BoS, then shes definetly going to be my first companion.

I remember one of the devs mentioning how cool it was to have Boone, because he picked off enemies from afar. Might sound cool, but to me that sounds like he's gonna start running off and shooting at stuff and you have no idea whats going on. Could be annoying.

Although you can get him to defensive or passive or whatever the pet aggressions are.

He's still pretty pimp.

But Cass is going to be epic. Cassidy from F2 was my favourite, and shes a badass cowgirl alcoholic gunslinger chick, aka a female Cassidy.

Boone is more of a stereotype honestly. He's a former soldier whose wife got killed and abandoned his old life after her death? How original.

Also the scribe chick seems cool, although she uses unarmed which is kind of lame. Her voice actress is damn hot too.

Raul's sounds pretty awesome for the fact that my weapons will last longer, plus the Vaquero outfit looks straight up ace. Plus, Boone is an NCR boy, and If I don't wanna work for them... Not a fan of straight arrows. Id go with Raul, the ex-enclave scientist dude, or the cyber-dogmeat. (Tradition.) In fact, Boone is pretty low on my list of 'best follower' While he may be a good shot, I really don't see reason for another sniper in my party. (Although, two NCR rangers sounds pretty l33t)

I guess I'll see when I get the game.
