[Attention] "Bug" list for the PS3

had a glitch today where my magic refilled itself very rapidly giving me effectively infinite magika. similar to the infinite stamina glitch which i have also experienced. no idea how it happens, and not related to any item bonus because it still happened with nothing equipped. i just suddenly notice it in the middle of combat that magic wasn't depleting. unlike infinite stamina it does not go away when you restart console. i had to revert to an earlier save.

I had that for a little bit where my magicka bar wasn't even showing up so I could literally cast as much as I want and it never even flinched apparently. I did have a temporary bonus to magicka regen though, and I haven't experienced it since that wore off, so I'm thinking the values were bugged for the buff.

- Bug with numerous quests where i can't complete the quest if i already have items needed before starting the quests. The mainly happens with follower quests e.g. Onmunds in college of winterhold. I already had the staff that Enthir wants me to get from Morvunskar. How ever speaking to Enthir it does not allow me the option to give him the staff. If i select the quest it tells me to find the staff in Morvunskar but does not give me a marker.

- In Morvunskar, after a night to remember, a portal opens to Whitchmist Grove. The portal is permanently there after the mission. Underneath where the portal opens, there is a room where a chest is. If you try and go near the chest, you are teleported to Whitchmist grove, despite the Portal being above you and not in sight. I can't ever get to that chest now.

- After completing a night to remember, if you enter the portal which takes you to Whitchmist grove, you will be sent to an area with no exit and where you can't fast travel from. The NPC from A night to remember, that teleports you out, is no longer there. So you are trapt unless you reload.

- Certain dragons not allowing me to absorb there soul

- My speech doesn't ever seem to increase.

- Not sure if this is a bug or done on purpose, but the second part of blood on the ice, if you had the wizard put in jail previously. You are told to go speak to him in jail. How ever he sits right at the back of his cell, So you never get the option to talk to him. I could pick the lock or pickpocket the key from the guard, but that gets me fined/arrested. Lots of others said they were able to speak to him in his cell?

- Quest for red eyes sword is stuck on a loop, if you read the book again the quests starts again.

- If i knock someone down using the full unrelenting force shouts (all 3 words) and kill them whilst they are on the ground with a fireball. They appear to get up and walk on the spot. Although when i interact with them, they appear dead and allow me to loot them.

- If i equip a mask with robes or a hood then the mask, most often that not, disappears and it appears i have an invisible head.

- Stony creek cave, next to the waterfall at the back. It appears there maybe should be a ramp up the waterfall on the left hand side. How ever between the wall and a rock there is an invisible gap.

- Racks and Wall mounts don't work.

- When casting bound sword, nothing appears in my hand at first. Only when i try to swing will the sword appear.

I'm having problems at Yngol Barrows, when I go into the cave things go completely dark with only the compass showing. i can press start and quit to the main menu, but i can't open the menu with the circle button.

I tried reloading, restarting, re-installing. I also used a previous save where I did not yet initiate the quest or get the claw, same problem.

Try erasing all the system data (not saves) from your ps3 (top menu in the games list) and reinstalling and seeing if that helps clear that up.
Just tried that, but no difference, thanks anyway. Anyone got more suggestions?

Every time I choose the magic menu the game and ps3 freezes...every time...not even worth playing until it is fixed...crossing fingers it gets fixed

That covers most of what I've seen except for:

-Hunters that can be traded with, dont allways work. The one bellow the guardian stone near riverwood. Items leave inventory, no gold recieved.

-Change Weapon speed is far too slow. PC is better on its speed.

-Weapon Racks!

-Second Word of "Clear Skies" disappears Occasionally.

-Lots of quest item issue, The quest returning the talos amulet in solitude, Dialogue goes okay but she never takes it from me and the quest dosen't complete. I had the amulet before she asked. The Bard's college quests for the famous instruments. Quest went ok but the instruments remain in my inventory, still marked as quest items.

Can't drop the 3 instruments i returned for the Bard's College quests, completed the quests still stuck with the items

I ran into a bug with "The Numbers Job" Thieves Guild Quest involving Haelga's Bunkhouse. Once inside the Bunkhouse, the quest marker indicating where the ledger should be leads to a spot where all you find is a wall. Then when you do find the ledger in the Bunkhouse, when you interact with it nothing happens. Here's a video made by someone else who found the glitch: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V-ItCZuYsVI

In the gamefaqs forums, someone discovered that the information displayed in the journal is different from the information given to you on-screen when you initially get this particular quest, and eventually he found the right ledger to forge numbers in by searching the various establishments with ledgers. This will be a tedious process to replicate, so hoping for a fix soon.

After you buy a house in whiterun etc and get rid of a follower for another,the original follower goes and sits in your bedroom. Havent tried with any more than one follower but guess i could end up with a house full of ex-followers by the end of the game. The follower in question keeps sitting down and standing up when i get near. This does'nt help with my privacy whilst sleeping with aela the huntress but i could end up with a bedroom full of female followers(not so bad i guess :wink_smile: )!

Other than the frame rate dip, I noticed the mannequins don't seem to work. So far the ones I have witnessed are the ones in the Markarth home and in the Dawnstar Sanctuary. When I try to "activate" apparel on the mannequin it causes parts of it to become invisible.

Okay here are the ones I have noticed:

-After playing the game for over 30 hours it now lags like crazy, which is really annoying and seems to be the biggest issue in the game in my opinion

-Mannequins bodies disappear (leaving a floating mannequin head) when armor has been placed on them (although, it does seem to fix when leaving and returning to the place the mannequin is)

-Quest "Blood on the Ice", although I have not done this quest my dad had a major issue where he was told to talk to Viola *something or other* but he found her lying dead on the street, after that the quest arrow still showed above her head and another quest arrow was pointing to the Jarl's steward Jorleif neither arrow went away and my dad could not progress any further in this quest.

-In Yngol Barrow, after getting the Helm of Winterhold you cannot get out the quick exit gate after fighting the Dragur Death Lord. Apparently there is supposed to be a skeleton sitting on the chair which your supposed to take a Yngol helm off of to open the door, but the skeleton was not there in my game.

-Horses go invisible for short periods (as do some people)

*EDIT -After completing the Thieves Guild, I spoke to that guy Maul and he told me to talk to the Thieves Guild and I now have a quest telling me to "Become a full member of the Thieves Guild" even though I am Guild Master, Also everyone still treats me like I am the newbie.

Horned Scaled Armor can not be upgraded.

Im at 48 hours played and have a little stuttering. Those of you who have lag issues, update your FW to 3.73 and rebuild your PS3's database through the PS3 "Safe Mode" menu.
Its easy to do just google it.

Random times when my face goes invisible
*Would really love to be fixed*
Invisibility Does Not Work
Side weaon racks in 25k house do not work
Bedroom weapon racks in 25k house do not work
Mannequins bodies disappear when armor is put on them
Don't seem to be guild master after all of thieves guild is completed

patio door in Proudspire manor doesnt open with the key, luckily front door and basemant door work fine

Game-breaking glitch: Involves the quests "Season Unending" (main quest) and "Joining the Stormcloaks"

I'm on the main quest where you're supposed to try to get Ulfric Stormcloak to come to High Hrothgar ("Season Unending"). The problem is, he keeps telling me to talk to Galmer (about an earlier quest called "Joining the Stormcloaks" where you fight an ice wraith to prove your mettle). I killed the ice wraith (to complete "Joining the Stormcloaks"), but Galmer won't actually talk to me now--he keeps saying he can't believe I convinced Ulfric to go to High Hrothgar (as part of "Season Unending"), which hasn't happened yet because Ulfric won't talk to me. Neither of them bring up actual speech menus (no choice of what to ask or anything).

Any ideas on how I might be able to get out of this? I'm up to level 16 and I don't want to start the whole game over.

Does Bethesda have plans to address this bug? Others have reported it on the forums on GameFAQs.com

So aside from the FPS issues, and the AI of companions sometimes freaking out, the bugs I have encountered are minimal except for today.

~Today, I bought the house in Wind-helm the really awesome one with all the mannequins. Well now the ones in the manor in Solitude work just fine, but for whatever reason, the ones in this house in Wind-helm will turn invisible or partly invisible when I put armor on them. Sometimes they will reset when I take off the helm and put it back and then they will show up, but the next time I enter the house.. they are invisible again. I don't know what is going on there, but it makes me sad I can't see my armor.
~Also my house in Whiterun, I went in there and all the surfaces, like tables, shelves, were .... gone? Invisible? and then all the stuff.... exploded and all my crap is all over the floor.
~Then there was the time I was riding my horse, I jumped off a small rock, and my horse started swimming through the air.... I just reloaded and it was fine. It was kind of amusing though....

That is the most I have had to deal with. All the graphic problems I had before were fixed when I finally got the first patch. The worst though, is the FPS and lag, which at times makes the game nearly unplayable. I think that is the biggest issue and if nothing else gets fixed I would prefer that over all these other small things.

Dragon carcass and dead Giant are blocking my entrance to Whiterun.

No under water oxygen meter?

Healing magic doesn't always play the required sound effect, i.e. no heartbeat.

Enemies often get stuck behind log's and trees.

When sprinting, Giants and Mammoths pop up out of nowhere often leading giants to attack player.

Swindlers Denn is won't clear, due to Whiterun side mission bug.

Two issues I have came across:

1) Walking Nightmare - Erandur enters the temple then when I enter the room is sealed off. I think he is supposed to cast a spell to open the path but is already gone as soon as I enter, the mission sits in my list to be completed.
2) The 7 Larceny Targets for the Thieves Guild, the Model Ship held in Snow Veil Sanctum is gone, not on the pedestal, and not in the room at all.

Also come across a few random Mammoth falling from the sky and dying. I can't recall where it was, but it was two separate times, and not near the herd as far as I could tell.

I hope the patch fixes the glitches, because I hate to have unfinished business.

-- No gore - I thought there was supposed to be gore in the killing blows, etc? I haven't seen anything remotely close to what I've seen in some of the videos online.

-- I have a Frost Spike sticking out of my head that won't go away (literally sticking right out of my head). I didn't notice it until I went to the forge (usually play in first person). Saved game and quit, then reloaded but still there.

I now have a couple of major quest or npc glitches that are killing my Skyrim experience.

The first is during the college of winterhold questline, after the arch mage is killed, a new quest Containment is supposed to start automatically. I had half of the dialogue pop up and then every person in the dungeon (including the elf in the eye of magnus shield) start walking around as if nothing happened saying the same things they always have. The corpse of the arch mage is still lying in the courtyard but they continue to walk over it no matter what I try to do. I've found Tolfir to talk to him, finished off all the radiant quests for the college before returning to the arch mage to start the encounter, and nothing has helped, so now the College quests are stuck at their current position.

The second one just happened to me tonight. I had gone to the city of Markath and did the investigation quest where I was thrown in jail. I broke out with the leader of the forsworn and killed some of the guards to do it, so naturally the city would attack me on sight. However, now when I go to the companion's hall as well, some of the companions also attack me on sight or follow me around spamming me with their dialogue boxes. I even tried to do the quest to kill a dragon with the twin (V something, forget his name) to try to correct things, and almost got smoked by the dragon because he wouldn't leave me alone with the dialogue spamming.

That gives me 2 main side questlines out of commision, which is really discouraging because up until then, I had had some framerate loss but the game itself looks superb. I just hope they correct these quest/npc inconsistencies soon

Ughma Infinium can be used twice and is another quest itm glitched.

Warmaidens in Riverwood closed at odd hours on Occasion. (10am-12pm.)
