I will start an bug list today in hopes that when they read it they will realize and know ALL the bugs.

Please DO NOT report bugs if you have the following.
- Mods
- Older Version patches still.

If you don't have those post the bugs here :D.


Note to ALL STAFF MEMBERS; You have permission to Edit, Confirm and post Glitches on this thread.

If you have dealt with a bug in the upcoming patch please use "Strikethrought", So we can know you have fixed it.


Bug list.
Bug - Confirmed?

Npc's Weapons are broken to 0 and will meelee players - Confirmed
Crashing at intro screen / loading screen - Confirmed
Pip boys light does not light ground - Unconfirmed
ATI users lose frames near doors and windows - Unconfirmed
Crash while trading gun runners vendor - Unconfirmed(Cannot repeat glitch)
Delay while opening trading screen - Confirmed
Dueling Benny in Ceaser's camp you lose items afterwards - Unconfirmed(Cannot repeat glitch)
Day resets to Sunday after relaunch game - Confirmed
Rare crashes when opening Pip-Boy - Confirmed
I Fought the Law quest is broken - Confirmed
Random unresponsive key's for a random period of time - Confirmed
Npc's can detect players in sneak mode behind doors, walls and such - Confirmed
Going to Thorn will crash players instantly - Unconfirmed
The Sturdy Caravan Shotgun is not considered a shot gun - Unconfirmed
NCR hit squad does not enter "force" combat mode - Unconfirmed

Contreas dialogue still bugged, after trading his speech line hangs - Unconfirmed

Various bugs with Weilding, hostering and iron sighting weapons, See pages 2,3 - Confirmed
Explosive may sometimes cause an null effect on npcs. (0 Damage given) - Confirmed
Character animation still goes crazy when entering Vats - Unconfirmed
ED-E is stuck on aggressive mode ALWAYS - Confirmed
Vault22 elevator causes complete crash - Unconfirmed
Robot's at the lucky38 are randomly hostile - Confirmed
Item stacking still bugged - Confirmed
Firing single load weapons will randomly reload during firing animation - Confirmed
Bighorners are mass spawning and getting stuck in location (page 2) - Confirmed
Centaur's sometimes spawn inside hidden valley from hollowed rocks - Confirmed

On PC (cannot confirm for consoles) many NPCs now spawn with broken (0 condition) weapons when the weapons they are set to spawn with were modified by the patch (lots of energy weapons for example). You'll know because they will be forced to engage you with their fists if they don't have a secondary weapon in their inventory to switch to.

As an ATI user I am still getting the really bad micro-stutter inside buildings, especially near doors and windows. My rig is easily overpowered for this game and the exteriors run very smooth with no hitch.

unfriendly powder ganger still spawns for me at the good springs source shortly after tutorial is finished before I even know about them.

2 glitches:

Debug Console seems to not work (at least on some laptops, such as mine), even after verifying that bAllowConsole=1 in documents --> My Games --> FalloutNV --> Fallout.ini and FalloutPrefs.ini, as well as in the Fallout_default.ini in the Steam subfolder for New Vegas.

Second Glitch (which I can't correct since my console isn't available) is Ed-E disappearing. Through searching online, it seems that this happens at random times, though for me it occurred around the Nellis Array (not sure whether it was inside or right when I came outside). Ed-E is still alive, as NPCs still comment about it, and I still have the Enhanced Sensors perk, and cannot accept Rex into my party.

Notes for this are that I am playing in hardcoe mode, on a laptop.

I think he only spawns if you save the settler from the geckos. Follow the settler and he spawns right next to her (in front of your eyes) as she walks back to Goodsprings (she's just destined to die, I guess).



Not really a bug, but: The Sheriff's duster (found in the Sheriff's office in Primm) still has no DT. I feel it should be the same as the Bounty hunter duster, i.e. 6 DT.

Is your Ed-E upgraded or preupgrade?

I have a nvidia gtx 260 and I'm getting bad microstudder inside of buildings as well.

I am also CTD about 1/10 time when I activate my pipboy (pressing tab)

The day still resets to Sunday when you quit and relaunch the game (possibly effecting trader inventories).

Sneak seems to be bugged for me. I went into one of the motel rooms at night while an NPC was sleeping, went into the bathroom, closed the door and got a permanent "Detected". The NPC would notice me stealing something from through the walls. I tried moving into different spots and it was still stuck in "Detected". I haven't tested this in different locations.

Signed up here hopin' to get a fix for the game-breaking issue I seem to have picked up with today's patch. I haven't heard of anyone having the same issue that I am so far. I guess this is where I'll post it.
Right now the game is unplayable for me unless there's a way to revert to the previous version.

Loaded my game after the patch, and had it freeze when I tried to talk to my companion (Arcade). The wheel came up, but when I selected talk, the game froze. Restarted the game and the entire computer and tried it again. Same deal. So I thought, maybe I just need to go to another area or something. Restarted the game, tried to leave the area I was in, and the game froze before I even got to the door. I'm not sure what's causing it.

I was learning how to deal with frequent crashes and freezing and unexpected minimizing. But not like this. :P Anyone else experienced this with the new patch? Alternatively, is there a way to remove/undo this patch until a solution becomes available? :/

The Sturdy Caravan Shotgun (Steam pre-order bonus weapon) is still not really considered a shotgun; it is not affected by Shotgun Surgeon and doesn't count towards the challenge "I've Got Shotgun".

Can you go back to an older save and talk to him and see if he cause's crashes?

I am playing against the NCR, so they hate me. And when the NCR hate you, they send out this hit squad. First they give you a warning, that you have three days to change your ways. Then they come and get you. When the hit party finally comes after me, the ranger that is supposed to speak to me doesn't. Instead the screen gets forced into 1st person mode, and I can''t initiate the conversation with the ranger, and they don''t attack me at all, unless I start shooting them. I have to go onto my pipboy and then off again, so i can return to 3rd person mode. I wonder if this is from the new patch? If so, I wish I hadn't updated.

I tried a different saved game, from before I first crossed the NCR, and when I met the hit squads again, it all worked fine. So I''m thinking the problem is after the first hit squad gives you a three day warning, I shot them all as they were running away, and now the dialogue is broken. So maybe by shooting them, that the cause of the error?

I don't think this would be easily reproducible, but since the 1.2 patch, for myself, I'm getting enemy spawns that are visible and detectable to the compass but just stand there...and can't be damaged. It's somewhat amusing to watch a companion go beserk trying to kill these frozen, invincible enemies, but...

However, if I hang around in front of them long enough, they eventually (long minutes) will unfreeze and attack...it's like there's some kind of spawn-desync going on or something. It's also highly possible this is an old bug to others and only new to myself. The patches seem to work like that for me...
