These badboys are meant to be "insectoid"... erm..... they only got like 4 legs seems to me... Come on Bethesda that's a school boy error. Pedantic maybe but number of legs is one on the main features that make insects well, insects. Sloppy.

These are essentially lame versions of Lightcrawlers from Everquest. Weaker and they don't blind you effectively turning off your screen

Elder scrolls definition of insects is different from our version like how glass wont shatter when you hit a wall of stone with a warhammer made out of it also ebony isnt a wood in this series it is a metal

Ok, so insects don't have four legs? Cuddlefish are squid but don't have as many tentacles as the other squid. Does that make them not tasty as squid? I think not.

Cuttlefish* Although, a Cuddlefish sounds like an adorable creature, and I suppose it'd give great hugs with it's multiple "arms"

Insects have six legs, unlike cuttlefish it is a specified part of their biology

Spiders are arachnids - though both insects and arachnids are arthrapods, they differ in their number of legses.

Yes, they are insectoids but not insects.
Take for comparison the Guar of Morrowind, who had two legs, two small arms and looked reptillian.
They werent reptiles however.

Its interesting to see the symbiotic relationship between the Chaurus and the Falmer.
I wonder if aside from bandits and travellers, the Falmer feed them those addictive mushrooms they got from the Dwemer as well.

It says 'Insectoid' which means 'insect like'... or similar to an insect.

It DOESNT say it IS an insect

I think thats where you're confused on

I see a Chaurus... it's dead before you can count its legs... Btw. what's with the chitin you can collect from them? I thought we might be able to make cool Morrowind Chitin armor from it! Maybe a mod down the road? hehe
