[REL][WIP] Conan The Barbarian Outfits

Post » Fri May 25, 2012 9:24 pm

I didn't even know that there was an extra outfit and deleted scenes :) Would you consider also making the outfit Valeria wears when she meets Conan and Subotai for the first time?

Really impressive to see how far you've come with this Prometheus. Watching you work is inspiring...

Hopefully you can teach me some things in the future, since I am learning a lot for the first time too!

Anyway, amazing work again! Your hard work made me wanna work some more on my mod too lol. Keep up the great work!

Thankyou , I have uploaded a New update ....

http://img600.imageshack.us/img600/8724/conanthebarbarianoutfit.jpg

http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=4793

Conan the Destroyer Wheel of Pain Golden Amulet, plus I replaced the old boots with no strips version , moved the other boots with strips as optional file , they both are slightly updated compared to the old version in a small fix of textures and uvmap ...

Let me know what you think , I hope you like and post pic , endorse and comment the threads of my outfits so increasing also the visibility  ....

I uploaded also some new pictures and the full final Conan the Destroyer Outfit ....

The next will be eventually adapting some of the items to the Female version and make the Valeria outfit .... then the Pants version and the warpaint versions ... this last woudl need the CK tough ...

I didn't even know that there was an extra outfit and deleted scenes  Would you consider also making the outfit Valeria wears when she meets Conan and Subotai for the first time?

Actually I just saw a picture .... Check above where She is wearing an oufit with a same or similar belt of the one I did for Conan so I probably could make this as counterpart for the female version .....
.... making those outfits is quite an undertatking in such small free time ... I stick to the roadmap for now and I will do the Pitfight outfit for valeria ... I am not sure if to make a slight variation of the "cimmerian" fur slips for the woman as well ( or instead replace with the pitfight outfit ) ...

Thankyou  .....

BTW The ida could be :

Cimmerian outfit with variations more or less revealing ( conan the destroyer for male ) and Cimmerian female version ( Found : http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-trV93m4Pgkk/TlehpFNIjJI/AAAAAAAAB9Q/Nwza4OhCNCE/s1600/Valeria07.jpg..... ) with or without armor pieces...

Cimmerian outfit Covered ( pants and shirt or half ) and Valeria Outfit ( armor )

Pitfight Outfit : (Conan Pitfight Armour combo ) and Valeria Pitfight armor

Warpaint armor ( Conan the barbarian ) and Valeria ( eventually using a Pitfight armor )

Optional :

Conan Hyrkanian armor ( Conan the barbarian lamellar ) VS Red Sonja Armor ( Red Sonja Iconic armor ) ...

if it woudl be possible to have armors only for one gender then I will probably limit to just some armors....

I personally think its better to just keep Conan's barbarian set for males and work on something else for the females from the movies. That way you'd feel more excited
as you make your work, instead of having to create something off the top of your head that you might not like as much. Unless of course you're excited to adapt Conan's
Barbarian set to the female, at which point I'll just be quiet

Extremely impressive work by the way. Skyrim NEEDS more stuff like this, before all the nvde, body, and anime mods pour in and ignore Skyrim's culture completely xD.
Hopefully your great work inspires others to make more things like this.

I have to agree with this. Me personally i'd set it up so the male/female versions coincide with what each character is wearing in scenes together in the movies. So the female version of Conan's outfit would be Valaria's outfit.

Thankyou :

This is how are paired the armors so far

Conan the Destroyer Outfit ( uncovered ) ------------------------------------ Valeria Outfit ( light ) http://www.thearnoldfans.com/pictures/San-Berg-2010/val.jpg

Conan the Destroyer and barbarian Outfit ( Covered ) ------------------------------------ Valeria Outfit ( armored) http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-vuDwzsGWI44/TlTmKXBohNI/AAAAAAAAByQ/RXtGuOVAbQE/s1600/conan+05.jpg ( with no warpaint )

Conan the barbarian Warpaint Outfit http://fantasyfiguresandmisc.com/index.html/components/com_virtuemart/shop_image/product/War_Paint_Conan_498ccd5cbd1cf.jpg ----------------------------------- Valeria Warpaint Outfit http://conancompletist.com/img/photos/B01/conanB01_39.jpg

Conan the barbarian Pitfight Outfit http://s3.alt1040.com/files/2011/08/Conantoy1.jpg ----------------------------------- Valeria Pitfight Outfit http://www.julienslive.com/images/lot/62740/0/lot62740.jpg

Tough , Valeria outfits are some of them similar or comboed , but the most cool to me is the Pitfight Outfit ....

So to not spend the next months into making only this I was thinking to reduce the outfits to just those :

Conan fur slips outfit ( uncovered ) ------------------------------------ Valeria Pitfight Outfit ( uncovered )
Conan fur slips outfit ( covered , pants and shirt ) ------------------ Valeria pitfight Outfit ( armored , with belt stripes and shoulder metal protections )
Conan black fur slips outfit ( warpaint ) ------------------ Valeria pitfight Outfit ( warpaint )

I would much prefer possible to have armors that coul dtbe tagged as wearable only by males and by females , I find it stupid honestly that you can pick any armor and wear it even if was dressed by a woman or a different race ...

Realism says it's stupid yes but practicality and game play trumps realism.

Well , Honestly Iwould prefer to have a system handled like I said in the other thread :

11 Realistic Armors
I find a bit annoying that as character you can collect the armors of anyone and any race and any gender and fit like if it was made for you ...
I woudl find much more interesting to have the Armors be divided into 3 size categories , by race category and by gender category ... so you wouln't be able to wear anything always ... but you could still collect the armors , sisassemble them and recover some pieces ( like half of them ) reuse them to craft or sell them ... plus if the armor is the same gender and same race ( for race If human is the same ) then the smith coul give you the option to fit the armor so that you coudl use ....

There's a game I played that actually did something cool related to armor( a mod did this too). For most armor(especially metal related) it would just use the male version fitted to the skeleton of the female.
But the game had really good female skeleton dynamics(proper hip movement but without making the girl look like a hoker or something), so you could tell it was a female even if she wore some male related armor.

There might be slight changes between the two, but for the most part male and female armors looked pretty much identical.

Lemme find some examples, Maybe it will inspire you in some way with the female/male armor structuring of your own stuff:

Thankyou ,
Right now I am working on a new body for the female couse I need a more "revealing" shape that do not show the big Aunt slips of Vanilla version ,since I was there I also decided to give a slight more roundy shape to the ass and the briasts ...

Red Sonja outfits would be awesome. Personally, I always looked at RS as an unofficial sequel to the Conan movies.

Awesome work, man! You are planning a fur scabbard for the Atlantean sword, right? I had one for Oblivion and it looked great.
What about the 'http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a400/Elricwolf/Oblivion%20screens/ScreenShot65-1.jpg'? Any plans to do that one?

The Valeria pitfight outfit is looking great so far! :goodjob:

Oh and by the way, I'm pretty sure it's Bombata, not Mombata. ;)

The first one that was released on this forum and banned from the Nexus ...
WHY??? Why was it banned, and is it available anywhere else?
Seems people are not much interested in this project?
Much to the contrary! I hadn't really been looking for Skyrim Mods, but am eagerly awaiting further updates to this one. :thanks:

Prometheus sorry I did not know you had a topic on this forum otherwise I would have joined in earlier (now bookmarked) .. Anyway for now I am installing my first mod for Skyrim (apart from the USKP of course, so far I have only used texture and mesh replacers in the game)

If I have any feedback will pop back in .. And thank you, will endorse after trying for a few hours , before your v 6 I have only been using the save game, was waiting until the items became unique.

Edit: I just gave the guys in the BOSS thread a post to add your esp to the masterlist for ordering too

I have a problem or two with the armour you can find at angi's

First I thought it could be a problem with me using Roberts Skyrim 03 male body - I had my doubts because I believe the meshes of that body to be vanilla compatible, and as you have seen I do not have problems with vanilla armour and clothing http://www.bild.me/bild.php?file=5493281ScreenShot6.jpg ..

Anyway, benefit of the doubt - I un-installed Roberts body to get back to standard vanilla game files.

Using just your v6 esp and bsa, I do not see the wheel of pain amulet in game, and the light armour and boots up in the cabin make my body and feet vanish

The ground items are fine, and the menu items are fine, its just when worn on my character ...

Remove the boots and the feet appear, remove the Hyborian light armour and the body re-appears.

Screenshot (please forgive the low res this is on the laptop setup) http://www.bild.me/bild.php?file=5462945ScreenShot3.png

That happens whether I have vanilla body or Roberts Skyrim 03

I wondered if you had generated mip-maps (thinking if someone running the game at a lower res than you without mip-maps then there would be problems)

But I extracted your bsa and checked out the files in G.I.M.P and could not find anything wrong with them http://www.bild.me/bild.php?file=5402835Untitled.png

Any thoughts ?, could it be a problem with the esp or meshes, I cant see a problem with installing the esp and bsa, and obviously the pitfight circlet is working fine in game (see second screenshot above)

Edit: Here's a screen of the items in the menu http://www.bild.me/bild.php?file=1270620ScreenShot4.png

The only changes I did on the basic BSA setup was to delete all references to the vanilla body because I tought that they coudl add useless data to the BSA and eventually override other body changing mods etc ... I may try soon to reupload it again as test version and the BSA containing all the data that packs but I would like to avoid to add redundant data and to cause an override of previous body installements ... if someone knows about this better let me know couse is the first time I use this bsa ...

Just seen the update will download and test it out

I will not be using workshop, but I think you need a bsl file, Kivan includes it for the Unofficial Skyrim Patch http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1362032-beta-unofficial-skyrim-patch-thread-4/

He just includes esp, bsa and the bsl. I remember a post he made reference that file and steamworkshop, but do not recall the reason.
